Re: 75 th MARKET GARDEN ANNIVERSARY

An appropriate occupation, he usually behaves like a Two year old on the forum.

Re: 75 th MARKET GARDEN ANNIVERSARY

The only 'proof' you have supplied of your asserted 'fact' is a line from a book that many consider a novel. Reminds us all of your previous rant about the color of the M41 Battle Jacket when you...

Re: 75 th MARKET GARDEN ANNIVERSARY

If this is a direct quote from the book I'm concerned about him being "sordidly-built". Maybe he wasn't wearing anything at all.

    Re: Shootings In El Paso

I agree Louis. The restriction/banning of semi/fully auto firearms, including handguns is a must imo. However is such a ban likely to happen in the US? I did have several semi autos but preferred...

    Re: Shootings In El Paso

I also had a 6.5 mm Swedish Mauser, found it a bit of a canon as no water buffalo or other biguns where I lived then. Also had a semi auto .22 Ruger which was lots of fun, and a semi auto Breda 12...

    Re: Finally found one

I liked them, the opening doors etc added some interest but not many 1/24 items available in the 90s. There's more 1/24 models available now and I note that a few other guys such as Katana mix 1/24...

    Re: Finally found one

Looks like 1/24 scale tin plate models made by Gonio in Czech Republic. I had about a dozen different versions back in the 90s, sold them when I started collecting 1/30 sets.

    Re: Long Tan Diorama

Great Job, I'd also like to see more photos. Some info about how to make the diorama and trees etc would be a great assistance.

Re: Normandy ’44 LCVP Landing Craft

Terrific diorama Rob and it's great to see the LCVP reissued for those that missed out, I was lucky to secure the earlier PA26-22 version which is presently delivering the TGM Aussie Donkey and...

    Re: Battle for Arnhem....

Yes, almost 12 years Louis. I wonder how long before we see another K & C Glider.
  14. Re: My Mountain Railway and Road Diorama Under Construction...

Yes, there were some very impressive dioramas displayed at the Melbourne Diner. I visited Howard's old shop several years ago, hopefully attend the Melbourne K & C Diner sometime in the future and...

    Re: The M113 at work

The sleeve thing isn't an issue for me, adds a bit of variety imo.

Interesting to note that Long sleeve shirts and Long pants/trousers are now mandatory in most outdoor occupations in Australia....

Re: Whiskey, Scalps, and Beaver Pelts.

Try the 'Shaving Pilot' thread, I spotted a Moose or something similar, could be some Beavers in the area.
  19. Re: My Mountain Railway and Road Diorama Under Construction...

I agree Louis, his dioramas were great from the first and just get better. I was also impressed with the dioramas at our recent K & C Diner in Brisbane, they get better every year and it's terrific...

    Re: The M113 at work

The do look great with their sleeves rolled up, typical Aussies. However I reckon some of those guys will soon roll them back down when they go off trail into the Bush. I've been torn up enough when...
  21. Re: TM Terrain Forward Outpost Diorama from the London Show

Hey Louis, that's a terrific diorama to add to your collection. I nearly purchased an impressive diorama at the recent K & C Diner, then reality kicked in, I just don't have the room to display it....

Re: Whiskey, Scalps, and Beaver Pelts.

Whiskey is reasonable but the Scalped Beaver is getting really expensive, get em while you can.
