    Re: Paris and Helen

I detailed the post for the screen. A brass ring was added to form the basis for a round wreath. Thin plastic strips were added and bas relief details were sculpted.

    Re: La Paiva Esther Lachmann

I fooled around with this lady over the weekend, adding groundwork and polishing the marble flooring and balustrade. The foliage was selected to blend with the dress.

    Re: Andrea Romans

Starting to paint the figure with black shadows. I read up on the Signifiers and generally, their shields were small round affairs and flat. Hence, I looked more carefully in my hoard and found the...

I manipulated the right hand into another position and added groundwork to the figure. The shield is temporarily propped up but will be removed for painting.

The picture of an MG42 is attached for ref. It looks like the Dragon model gun is of better proportions than the Airfix model. So I will modify the Airfix gun.

    The Tamarind Seed 1974

Saw this oldie starring Omar Sharif and Julie Andrews. Romance drama with an espionage sub-plot. Julie Andrews reprises her Sound of Music personae and Omar Sharif is, well, Omar Sharif.

I found this Andrea Standard bearer in a heap literally. Well, that's me... I decided that it was still in good condition and mounted it to a base. The shield was taken from Pegaso.

    Puppet on a Chain 1971

Another Alistair Maclean movie. This one is quite good and features one of the best boat chase scenes in the movies. The villain looks like V Putin!

    The Quiller Memorandum 1966

Finally saw this movie again after so many years. Stellar actors here but the premise is wasted as the plot is really dull. The interrogation scene is dreadfully tortuous.

    Re: Cafe Storme Mokarex figures

Looking at my puny 1/35 Dragon German soldier, I've decided to upscale him and arm the figure with 1/32 Airfix ordnance. Hence he is now a young Hitler Jugend figure. The picture shows the difference...

I found two gladiatorial figures and decided to pair them up on a suitable round base. The sword is missing and I'll see what I can do about straightening the trident.
