    Jagdpanzer IV in Normandy

Thanks everyone for the kind comments on my display 😊 And Hadrian, the Heer tank crew figures are made by War Park and are figures KU131 and KU135. They worked perfectly with the Jagdpanzer.

    Riding the stug.

Yeah, myself as well. For some reason, I’ve always felt War Park and W. Britains figures worked best with JJD armor… Just something about the way those brands are painted that matches well with the JJD products in my opinion.

    Jagdpanzer IV in Normandy

I recently got First Legion’s NOR101 Normandy Jagdpanzer IV model via their discount sale and have included some pics of my vignette display below. These scene depicts the Jagdpanzer (adorned in tree branch/scrub camouflage) waiting in a concealed position while a Heer Infantry Recon Squad moved...

    Riding the stug.

Fantastic pics Rafael! I like the way you’ve used those older War Park Kharkov figures as tank riders.

    Panzer iii vs Jagdpanzer iv

Bradinpa, I used “Super Gold” CA glue with an accelerant to glue the tracks part back on. CA glue is often used for attaching metal photo-etched (PE) parts to plastic or resin and doesn’t dissolve/bond the plastic. The glue isn’t cheap (a 1 oz. Bottle costs around $18) but it’s worth the cost...

You’re welcome, Hunter Rose! Glad those pics will help you with your modifications 😃

    Panzer iii vs Jagdpanzer iv

braddinpa, fixing the spare tracks on the Jagdpanzer IV is very much possible! The spare tracks are a solid metal piece that mounts to the front armor glacis via a couple pegs that insert into holes on the vehicle. I used an exacto knife to carefully and gradually pry off the part. I then did...

    Absolutely stunning work, Issac 😎

    Panzer iii vs Jagdpanzer iv

The Kursk Panzer III is totally worth it. The model does not have as many opening hatches as the War Park or JJD Panzer IVs, but the paint and detail is amazingly beautiful. If you get a Jagdpanzer IV, the winter or Normandy versions with the side skirts are the best. There’s a lot of accuracy...

A Little Inspiration for JJD Zulu War Collectors

Guess I needed to read your post more carefully, lol! Still, it’s an amazing diorama.

    A Panther Amongst the Hedgerows

As I recall from Mastercom, you made me go back to the original thread on this Panther from 2019 to see what people were saying. While most collectors really liked it (myself included) the great and very knowledgeable Hunter Rose commented on the accuracy of the 12th SS Pz. Div. unit markings...

    A Panther Amongst the Hedgerows

Thanks everyone for the kind comments on this display! I’m liking the way the JG Miniatures scrub camouflage worked out on my Panther tank (as well as the Stug IV in my other post) and have a few other vehicles I may apply it to. Below is the historical photo I used for reference when applying...

    Kontakt!!

Thank you for the kind words on my display, everyone! Mastercom, I would guess the reason FL didn’t include the zimmerit on this particular model was to keep their production costs down. They used their general Stug IV tooling for multiple repaints, some of which represented late war vehicles...

    Vietnam inspirations

Major Dan, here are some pictures of a vignette display I made with K&C’s M48 Patton tank last August. The three tank riders on the rear deck are the VN069 set (originally intended for the M113 ACAV) but more figures could certainly fit on… Hope this helps provide you with some inspiration for...

    A Panther Amongst the Hedgerows

A few pics of a diorama I’ve had out for a bit, showcasing First Legion’s NOR091 German Panther Ausf G (Early) tank model, representing a vehicle from the 3rd Co, 12th Pz Regt, 12 SS Hitlerjugend during the Normandy campaign, 1944. I got my model when it was first released in 2019 and it’s...

    Elefant on the Move

Definitely! The Elefant was definitely a monster of an armored fighting vehicle… And to believe when I first opened the box, I thought First Legion’s Elefant looked to small 🤣
