Absolutely fantastic work, Frank! Glad to see you back to doing some dioramas with First Legion products again (seeing your work a few years back with some late war German dioramas convinced me to get into collecting First Legion products in the first place!) The Panzer IIIM is a beautiful model...
Because I’m a sucker for German armor, I’d like to see a Jagdpanzer IV L/70(V). While K&C has made a couple versions of the short-barreled Jagdpanzer IV L/48 and the long barreled Panzer IV/70(A), they haven’t done a proper Jagdpanzer IV L/70(V) variant yet and that vehicle type was increasingly...
Thanks Brian! Glad to know they’re legit and hopefully with the recent China tariff reductions, they’ll be available for sale in the U.S. I had been thinking of getting some more FL Stalingrad Russians with their current sale, but I’d rather hold out for these.
I need to get on FL’s newsletter...
Another collector recently posted this photo in the Toy Soldier Collector Asia Facebook group, saying these were upcoming Kursk Russians from First Legion:
The photo definitely looks like FL products, though I can’t independently verify the it as there haven’t been any previews of these...
That is an awesome collection, Louis! Are your Garand and Carbine dated to the WWII period or post-war variants? Both of mine are basically post war versions, but still look the part and perform well, especially with actual military surplus ammo…
It’s 2020 all over again! While I’m not happy about the outside circumstances leading to this sale, it is definitely worth taking advantage of, particularly for a few figures I had my eyes on… I can’t remember the last time I saw some FL figures priced at under $40!
Great scenes, Rob! The Marder Loader & War dog figures are great sets. I also really like the way those TGM mats come out looking in your photos as they always seem more “natural” than the way they come out in my pics, lol… That is unless you’re using Last Post Miniatures mats in those scenes 😉
So based on Hilary Doyle’s research as relayed by Hunter Rose and Mastercom10 above, basically 1 Ferdinand was lost for every 12-13 Soviet tank destroyed in just the Battle of Kursk alone - not counting all the other battles and theaters in which the Ferdinand/Elefant saw service between August...
It is like the yellow/sand colored bases on many figures, not just First Legion ones… If one displays the figures on actual 3D terrain matting with long grass, the bases will conceal easily and could even be covered with hobby sand and other bits for better blending if desired. The First Legion...
Pics of my display of the new Bristol Blenheim Mk. IVF wooden aircraft model from Thomas Gunn Miniatures being prepped for a mission by my K&C RAF Ground Crew and Pilots. They are a perfect match. K&C’s RAF range is simply fantastic 😎
Pics of my display of the new Bristol Blenheim Mk. IVF model from Thomas Gunn 😎
The figures are K&C RAF Ground Crew and Pilots with crates and fuel barrels from Thomas Gunn; the base are two TGM mats pushed together.
In this scene, the ground crew and armorers are hard at work making final...
