Great pics, Mike!
I can be an ass and say those mid/late production Normandy Tigers are the wrong type for the Battle of Prokhorovka (the Tigers used there were largely early production models like War Park’s “Tiki” Tiger I model used in my recent diorama of the same battle 😉) but that doesn’t...
Fantastic scene Mike! Great use of the figures in a close up setting. I like those two grenadier figures and hope W. Britain will make a few more in the non-winter configuration.
Excellent setup and I like your mix of figures, never mind the fantastic diorama pieces!
I find the Late War period of WWII quite fascinating as well and it’s a period I have depicted in a few of my dioramas using W. Britain figures and those from other manufacturers as well.
Awesome scene Mike! I like how you’re using the various FL and War Park figures with the angle of your pics. And I agree with the others - John’s series of SdKfz 251 halftracks are some of the best in the business 😎
Oh yeah, you’re right! One can really see it particularly with the NOR087 figure in how well its camouflage smock blends with the bushes and grass in Mike’s diorama 😎
As always, a diverse and beautiful selection of aircraft models from Thomas Gunn this month! They’re cranking out more aircraft and a greater variety of them than any other 1/30 manufacturer, period, which is great to see.
And I’ve got a Blenheim coming 😉
Great photo of two awesome First Legion figures, Mike! Both figures look perfect together, especially in your photos! Personally I think the older NOR087 figure has the edge on paint apps compared to the newer NOR097 figure. Did you also get the NOR098 Sniper Assistant Spotter figure? Recent pic...
I’m sorry to hear that Mike! Hopefully you’ll eventually be able to find one on the secondary market. I’m still waiting for the replacement for my busted FL Hetzer and not sure I’ll ever see that…
Awesome scene, Issac! I really enjoy this set as well and I love how you’ve placed the figures in yours! It’s a little different from the historical photo this set was to represent, but almost works even better 😎
Thanks every for the likes and kind comments! I think First Legion really knocked it out of the park with their Elefant! I can’t wait to see the upcoming crew figures for it as well, though the TC012 figures I’ve got with mine are a very nice fit… Wayne, the Elefants are selling quickly...
My First Legion Elefant came yesterday and it is an absolutely gorgeous model!
Prior to its arrival, I’d been thinking of a variety of different ways to display it and ultimately decided on a rather simple display of the vehicle on the move somewhere in western Ukraine during the summer of...
That “Fury” Sherman tank looks great! I’d love to know what company made it specifically. The only other 1/30 scale M4E8 tanks made to resemble the “Fury” tank are the K&C version and one made more recently by Eagle Miniatures.
Very nice scene, Wayne! That’s got to be a 1/32 scale P-39 kit you’ve got there… It looks good but is also kind of ironic given the RAF markings as the RAF was even less fond of the Aircobra and it saw even less service with the British/Commonwealth forces than it did with the Americans.
