I recall that who ever were the 'War Lord' figures came in boxes similar to the Airfix figures, 4 color with pictures, etc. I'm pretty sure that some of the German sets came that way as well. Not sure about other figures. But the WL figures I know for sure did. Wish I had some of the boxes now.
Wow. Very nice indeed. They have a nice Airfix look to them. Not overly done but nice poses. Hope they'll have them by Sept. for OTSN. I imagine they won't be cheap, however.
I spoke with a sales rep at a hobby trade show a few years after Accurate started production. He had a full color catalog of eras they intended to do. I don't recall if Zulus were one of the lines, but I wouldn't be surprised. As we know, almost nothing was done other the ACW and AWI. Sad...
The Napoleonic as well as the Western figures were all released about ten years ago by Classic Toys, so they must be around somewhere. As it is, you can usually get a good price on Ebay on original sets.
Who's Greg? Anyhow, I remember the SS label also, and vowed not to buy them. I'm not actually sure that Conte did SS in plastic, or called them that anyhow. Probably in metal.
The Japanese look very nice. I like those much better than the Marines. However, how about some in ragged uniforms rather than looking neatly pressed? I'm really intrigued by the gangsters. The Untouchable figures haven't had any competition in years. Good luck with both lines.
The models of all three sets shown at the show looked good. I thought there was a fifth VC shown there as well. My biggest gripe about the VC is that they seem too big. It seems almost every company makes the Asian figures too large in proportion to actual size. Same with Alamo Mexicans. I...
