I think the idea was not to be authentic in scale as much as to match the Marx tanks which ran that small.

Just finished "The Admirals" about USN WWII Admirals King, Leahy, Nimitz and Halsey. Fantastic, and to finish the theme, or least continue, Anthony Beevar's "The Second World War". Very indepth in some ways, but interesting.

I've been looking at the website of the publisher and I don't see a magazine about teddybears, thank the gods. I'd be a bit honked off to travel all the way from the States to see Beaniebabies. The magazines themselves look to have a cross-over appeal, so I suppose it would be worth seeing...

Wow, touchy subject. I did notice last December that the hotel was considerbly busier with tourists all over the place. I recall other years when the place seemed almost deserted with people walking around, only toy soldier folks. But I think the whole neighborhood is busier than it used to be...

The problem I have with one this size is if I could set it up like this I'd want to keep it up. Living floor is likely not a good option. I may need to think about a second ping-pong table.

First, Marx, then it's a tie between Airfix and Barzso. The difference, of course, it that Airfix hasn't made any new figures in about 35 years or so, and Barzso makes new stuff every year. Then TSSD, which is very creative, Matchbox,(almost all WWII) Paragon, Timpo, then a few others like...

As some one who is building up what I thought were huge Marx blue and gray armies, I'm sooooo jealous. I love this. Wish i had living room floor like that.
