pricing i find very difficult, i build them for pleasure and do not have a "for sale" price in mind, however i do have friends who are in and know the toy soldier industry who advise me on what to ask for ...this price is to my mind way above what i am happy to let them go for sometimes by...

i wish i had taken an interest in woodwork at school, if my memory serves me right i think i made a cheeseboard with an inlaid tile at one end for cutting. and this was achieved at the age of 12 with much help from teacher.. i went on to become a lorry driver.:eek:

hi pj. the ship on the floor is the USS.Choctaw.... or at least my version of it, as for the nile boat i`m hoping to see the backend of it in place this weekend...and the chicken shed will have to go too, i`ve decided its bloody horrible, i`ll have to try something else instead

to get the hull shape i usually pencil in the pointy bow and rounded stern, then slowly jigsaw one half.. then i pick the jigsawed half up off the floor and use it as a template for the other side it rarely fits the already penciled in line but you do get symetry, plastic card a block of softish...

hello again michael uss tyler looks like a fun build, i may have a go at this one when i get the time... it has similar features to my "version" of choctaw but without that complicated casemate, i would say that the tyler and choctaw were converted from the same hull types..but what do i know...

yes it was built for 54mm. figures, it`s around 5 feet long and i made it a couple of years ago, i had it for sale along with some other ironclads that i had built at the london toy soldier show, but i think the size of my ships was a bit off putting, two boats did sell though, one was an eads...
