    i have had texas in mind for some time now, she was easily the sleekist and dare i say the most futuristic looking of all the acw. ships and i think would make super looking model with all that wooden decking on show...thats done it ,starting her tomorrrow !

    you`ve no room ....you should see my place !. i have had to abandon 2 ships the melik & the monitor cerberus due to lack of space & time, and what little space i do have is fast filling up with cabinets and cases for forthcoming shows......but i`m itching to start on CSS.Texas & USS.Essex

    yes the decks were reinforced to take the punishment of the recoil, and i should imagine they were tied to a big tree or something too, it canot have been much fun being so close to a mortar of that size in an enclosed area, in some illustrations the mortar crew shelter behind a wooden partition...

    yes she is a scratch build model and i have struggled to find inexspensive figures, i have converted the crew from other figures for this one and you can just see them through the sidegun ports and overhead deck grilles manhandling the forward gun into position, i am now experimenting...quite...
