Losses of Soviet and German armored vehicles in 1943. Kursk Bulge

Good grief Tank. Regurgitating old Soviet propaganda is hardly a defensible way to make an argument. Consider these facts and figs: 1979[edit] 25 December 1979 – An Il-76 heavy transport plane crashed into a mountain near the village of Kanzak (Northeast of Kabul) after being damaged by...

Oh, a partial list of all Russian aircraft downed in Afghanistan is available here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Soviet_aircraft_losses_during_the_Soviet–Afghan_War if you disagree Tank, please prove it. Cheers!

Losses of Soviet and German armored vehicles in 1943. Kursk Bulge

Meanwhile, 50 years later, the “mighty” Russian military was chased out of Afghanistan with its tail between its legs, in shame and disgrace, driven out by a rag tag army of goat herders working part time as Mujahideen. A pathetic display exhibiting an utter lack of military prowess by the USSR...

To borrow a phrase, the only good Russian soldier is a dead one.

Good point! Florida, Texas, Tennessee and Washington (states) are among the 9 states that don’t tax earned income.

    Thank you, "tank".

Check the wording and diction of Tank and Poggo. Too similar to be a coincidence. Tank is just Poppos recent creation. Don’t be fooled.

    Thank you, "tank".

How many freakin aliases does Tank, aka Poppo, have? I count these 2 plus at least one more. But sure, Tank, I mean Poppo....whatevs. Keep blubbering away, it’s funny stuff!

Yep. Starting from scratch only way to recover I guess.

    N.F.L. Season 2018-19

This season has abruptly turned into a rebuilding year after a mere 7 games. Wow. Just....typical. Dan Quinn from coaching marvel to sad sack loser in 1.42 seasons. At least if they blow any half time leads this year, nobody will actually care. Fans got that going for ‘em.

What else do you collect beside toy soldiers

Excellent point. Being overweight is the norm, now. At least in the US. And we wonder why health care costs are spiraling out of control.

Happy birthday to the USA Navy!

The Russian Navy is best appreciated when it’s rusting hulks are sitting on the ocean floor.

    NCAA Football 2019

SOS, different week. Yawn. I went on a hiking weekend and didn’t watch a second of sports on TV. Engaging in your own sports is 10,000 times better than watching others.

A disgrace and an abomination. Be a long time before I care about the Braves again

    2019 Baseball season

I don’t know for sure but haven’t most MLB managers long since gone away from managing via the gut and toward statistically based decision making? Ie when a pitcher hits a certain number of pitches, he’s gone. Or lefty vs righty. Or what so and so has done historically on Tuesdays in September...

    2019 Baseball season

Those were halcyon days for Braves fans. I remember them fondly - and with frustration at not winning more WS titles. The current team seems a bit more balanced with greater offensive capabilities, albeit without the stellar pitching. Perhaps also more fun to watch, too.

Typical Atlanta sports- and why I try really hard not to care very much what a bunch of people I don’t know do.
