Actually, many people's perception of "Rural" life is often misinterpreted to mean lack of services and amenities …. Not so even in the slightest.
There is a local food market within a 3 min drive for me, a major food store (Hannaford's) with in a 12 min. drive.
There are more "local" doctor...
NOW THIS .. :redface2: .. there have been "some" (unreleased number) employees at a food chain diagnosed with COVID-19.
So, now there is discussion of how to limit the number of people who enter at food store at any one time.
Initial plan under discussion is to base the day that you go on your...
GREAT figure selection as the "Intenseity" of their facial expressions match the story line perfectly.
AS per the norm, the photo clearity is top shelf.

Very nice setup and display. It is very impressive with all the figures.
I have started watching the Netflix Series "Outlander."
In the story they mention the "Battle of Culloden."
Up until this time I have had on a bit of interest in these figures, but now I can really appreciate what you...
Or another caption … "NO, Abdul we are not stealing your ancestors. That's my friend Wilhelm Schmitt.
He got a bad sun burn out on patrol so we are protecting him from any more sun"
Fun one, Steve.

Really enjoy your "Fun with Toy Soldiers" theme that you have been on lately.
Like you said ... "trying to raise a laugh at this time" ..... AND it's working. {sm3}

I can give that a shot.
It won't be impressive as Mikes, since I was a slow to pick up on the limited run on BH Deck pieces.
But sure; not a lot of other things to do in Maine at this moment.

I can see that being "permissible".
I have the trousers, top, neck tie and even his duffel bag, so I suppose a single white hat wouldn't be a bad thing. I'll check out Amazon; thanks for the lead.

I do have my dad's whites but (as I mentioned) not his cap. I was hoping to find a mannequin and display the uniform that way.
I suppose I could find an original 1945 US Navy cap … but would that violate the principles of the display I wanted to have.:rolleyes2:

Evening, Duke,
I was very fortunate and found a Thomas Gunn Ho-Ni for a great trade.
Now I need to buy some AK paint or see what Tamiya colors match your descriptions.
AK Interactive Dark Brown Wash
AK Interactive Track Wash
metal color to the tracks and other parts of the tank with a silver...
I did have a very short stay aboard the USS Coral Sea (CV-43).
However, I believe that Navy Planes DO NOT fly directly over the flight deck air space.
24/7 planes are either launching or recovering off the flight deck. Probably not that active in 1941-1945!
My thoughts would lead me to...
Yep' Moe beat me to it, Duke. I can almost hear "Big-X" getting daily updates from Danny Velinski, the "Tunnel King".
This is as close to "REAL" as one can get.
I love that backdrop .... what is it please?
So many good things going on here.

Mom and Dad.
The picture of him was when he was in the Merchant Marines.
When WWII broke out he applied for and was transferred to the US Navy.
He thought that a war ship was safer than a Merchant ship. He was right, his merchant ship was sunk in a convoy on the way to...

Close ups of some of the items.
This is the photo of the "Original" photo taken of the USS Hoptree as she departed for the Pacific. She was built in Snow's Shipyard only 20 min away from where I lived. How the "original photo" got lost and turned up in NM is still a mystery...
