    Conte Scenic Bases

I have WAY too much stuff salted away in the basement and need to get rid of some of some extras. I have two Conte "dragon's teeth" obstacles (one is the "damaged" version) and an extra barn with courtyard base. I would be willing to sell the "dragon's teeth" for $30 each and the barn for...

    BMC Iwo Jima Clones

Looks interesting. My main complaint with the BMC figures was their size. The price isn't bad, so I ordered a set to give them a try. If they aren't any good then some kid at Goodwill gets some plastic soldiers :-) Gary B.

    Airfix 2016

Unfortunately the Airfix of today is NOT the Airfix we knew in the 1970s. The guys who developed the Multipose figures, the 1/32nd scale kits, the styrene 54mm figures and the soft plastic figures have all since retired or moved on. Airfix has gone through some rough times and several...

    X-Force Wish List?

WW2 winter figures, US, German and British, scaled to match Conte/TSSD/Marx figures. Not many lines of figures have GIs in late war M1943 jackets either so these figures could also represent the actions near the end of the war in 1945. Then one could expand the line to include 1945-era...

    KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- November 2015

Nice looking releases. Of course, I'm mostly interested in the GIs, but the whole bunch looks really nice. The Singapore surrender party looks just like the photos. Nice to see the US gets a 90mm gun to counter those Panzers. Gary B.

    the need for accessories

I'm with you on this! We need some "larger scale" pieces like gas cans (US and British/German types), helmets (US plain, German, British) and other odds and ends. Some extra firearms would be nice to have in scenes, such as the K98K, the US M1 carbine, StG44, etc. Ration boxes are fairly...

    Paragon's Latest CW figures.

The photos are great, nice comparison and some neat conversions. I still enjoy conversions but I don't keep a lot of ACW "extras" on hand. Gary B.

    Paragon's Latest CW figures.

How do these figures compare in size with Conte or TSSD? I bought some western cavalry and they were smaller and "slimmer" than the TSSD figures. Gary B.

    Battle of the Bulge

Yes, the British forces extended their lines to allow more US troops to deploy against the "bulge" and XXX Corps (I believe) moved to be a backstop for First US Army by covering the Meuse crossings. That was the good side of putting Monty in charge of the northern shoulder. Gary B.

    Lazer Bond Glue?

Sounds like something my dentist uses, the glue only sets after they put a UV light on it.

Conte GIs in green anyone have any for sale?

Just to make sure, do you know that complete sets are going for a pretty penny on eBay right now?

    Sad News from Treefrog Treasures

Very sad news indeed. Every time I dealt with Shannon she was always so positive. Shannon is the nicest person that I have met in the hobby (many are pleasant, some are friends, but Shannon was genuinely NICE). May the Lord bless you Shannon and be with you and the rest of your family. Gary B.

    Chicago 2015

Yes, but some combatants did some of their important fighting in other peoples' uniforms. The Free Poles in the West were equipped like British troops, The Free French basically wore US uniforms, plus there were Polish units fighting with the Red Army that wore Russian gear. The Brazilians...

    Paragon's Latest CW figures.

Certainly not the worst new figures out there. The Paragon cavalry sets were noticable smaller than the TSSD cavalry, how does their Civil War infantry stack up? Gary B Waverly, NE

    Early Dispatches Thread!

Nice list of wants for Market-Garden, with one HUGE ommission - the Americans! Nobody, but nobody has done proper US airborne troops for Market-Garden. The actions around Arnhem are certainly interesting, brave and quite tragic but that was 1/3 of a larger operation. The US Army provided a...

Who is your favorite plastics sculptor?

Airfix had some variations in their figures. I agree that the poses and sculpts on the Afrika Korps, US Infantry and Eighth Army were quite good. The British Infantry Support Group had neat stuff, but some of the figures had mediocre posing. The Japanese were quite good, but the US...
