Just checked thr photo book put together by Louis Badolato and Kevin Elliott. None of the 54mm sculpts shown above are in the book, but the 90mm figure is in there and looks an exact match in sculpt, base and paint.
As an aside, if the '92' refers to 1992 as the manufacturing date, these would...
It was the Altaya part works range, produced by Frontline and although similar in style (they did a HK riot cop and several SWAT-ty type figures), these aren't theirs.

Simon,
Although it won't stop the flaking altogether, a means of toughening them up would be to give them a coat of diluted PVA glue once painted. I've done this on painted plastics for my kids and they do fair significantly better.
And being from Nottingham, they should be hardened to the...
See you Saturday mate, don't want to miss a free drink from the far side of the world. Howard didn't send you back with a 6 pack of Fosters for a joke did he? {sm2}
Hi,
it is Forces of Valor, but it is a Bradley Armored Fighting Vehicle. Forces of Valor pitched this as a 1991 era vehicle used in Kuwait / Iraq.
Cheers,
Simon
Thanks for your support John!{sm4}
When the project has sent me half blind and half mad, I'll give you a shout and see what your doing with your spare time. ^&grin
I agree with Paul, a fine saw. Tamiya do a modellers saw (same principle) which is cheap enough. The only downside working with 28mm is that the cut will remove comparitively more material and potentially detail. Dependant on the softness of the metal, you could try using a sharp stanley knife...
Gary,
The first figure looks like a casting that is readily available from a number of Russian sellers on ebay. If you type in Spartan or Hoplite in the search facility in the toy soldier section, you should see a number of those guys pop up, not sure re the other one, but may be similar.
Cheers...
Careful with the praise there otherwise his head won't fit through the pub door. And the last thing he needs is another excuse for not getting drinks in....
Look good KV.
I did the same with both of the 3rd ID sets, as they were crying out for a repaint. Apart from the obvious scale difference to other manufacturers, the paint jobs on these let down what are quite nice figures.
Have you got the other set of these to do as well?
Cheers,
Simon
Well, I did warn you about drinking molten lead out of coffee mugs........
Great to see you back and obviously enjoying the 2 wheeled mid life crisis :wink2:
Nice paint jobs, really like the metal work on the choo choo.

Pete,
I also got this set new some 8 or 9 years ago, and like yours, it came in the 'mortar' box, so I presume there was a shortage of the 30cal boxes, or a mix up on a larger scale when they were packaged.
Cheers,
Simon
Welcome to the forum Deetail,
There was a near mint 7 figure box set, including all 4 of the rare poses.
I asked about it on the off chance that they didn't know what they had (fat chance), price was £600
Good luck with the hunt for the remaining pose.
Cheers
Simon
