New Releases for June 2025 - The Eighteenth Century Collection

John has done some excellent groupings - death of Maj Pitcairn and Dr. Warren - and the sculpts are some of the most animated. I think it's just a few more Minutemen, British Marine drummers, and the fortifications left to go based on what has been previewed. Brendan

    Battle of Wandiwash

Thanks for the link John. If memory serves me right, he did the Maratha infantry towards the end of the Assaye grouping. Perhaps they are still forthcoming? Brendan

    Battle of Wandiwash

I've been looking at John's work on this series and am considering collecting it. For those that have collected the series, what are your thoughts? Are the figures as good as the Wellington in India series? Do you have any book recommendations on the history of the battle/campaign? Thanks, Brendan

    My vision of Cowpens

Great diorama! It's been a little bit since someone has posted photos of K&C AWI. I wonder if we'll see a return to the series by K&C to coincide with the 250th anniversary. Brendan

    Toy Soldiers in Montreal?

Unfortunately, there hasn't been a toy soldier store in Montreal for some years now. The one in nearby Quebec City - Toy Soldiers Club - is still in business, but it is online ordering only. Brendan

Trafalgar! That is a very pleasant surprise. I'm glad that K&C has been so busy on the Napoleonic front recently. Brendan

What are the Forum members reading

I'm currently enjoying Erik Larson's The Demon of Unrest: A Saga of Hubris, Heartbreak, and Heroism at the Dawn of the American Civil War. I haven't read many books on the earlier phase of the ACW, so I'm enjoying the fast pace that he moves at. Brendan

    Re Tariffs

That's good news and thanks for the clarification. I'm doubtful this hobby can long survive in its current form without a strong network of successful US dealers and customers. Brendan

    Re Tariffs

I just noticed this on K&C's website. Hopefully, this ends soon before toy soldier companies and dealers are a thing of the past. Brendan

    Great War / Early Stages

Great display! The uniforms might be pale but the dynamism of the figures, especially the cavalry overrunning the guns, is great. Brendan
