    Citizen Soldiers movie

'Dutch Cota went from a hero of Omaha Beach' I'll have to check but I think he was sacked sometime in Normandy? Then managed a new command in the 28th and regained his reputation after leading a heroic defense in the Bulge?

    Citizen Soldiers movie

There's a number of Dye's projects that have fallen over but this looks more concrete. The story of the 28th in the Bulge is pretty impressive.

    Citizen Soldiers movie

The IMDB page is surprisingly detailed and updated only a week or two ago. It seems this one might actually happen. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2118600/?ref_=ttpl_pl_tt

    Risen...

I liked it too. Here is my Amazon review - "This is a religious movie. Its focus is the resurrection story of Jesus and it sticks, properly, very closely to the words of the Biblical Gospels. The new angle though, is the story is seen through the eyes of Roman tribune Clavius (Joseph Fiennes)...

The Continuing Story of a Dying Hobby

"I was also delighted to pick up a set of four Chasseurs-a-Cheval K&C MIB. Even the tissue was untouched. The price? $76USD." Was that each - or for the lot?

    I need some new 1:32 ww2 news!!!!!!!

"there's a world of difference between a tank that is for play and one to be displayed with figures. You want a $10.00 tank? You just showed the very reason that plastics get no respect on this or other forums." Yep - I've got quite a bit of the 21stC & Forces of Valor ranges. They were a...

    I need some new 1:32 ww2 news!!!!!!!

BMC's tank is about $10. It will also stand normal play. It looks like a Sherman to me! My son plays happily with it and an Airfix one. Sure someone could make make a better one but I'd rather see that sort of money go into a US halftrack or a Priest.

    Citizen Soldiers movie

I see Ambrose's book is being turned into a movie - at least in the sense that a unit of the 28th Infantry Division at the Bulge is covered. It's in Pre-production, which hopefully means it is a going concern.

    Gunn July 2016 Newsletter

I would like to see Hannibal even with Romans from a later period. Either Goths or Celts would work for me. Maybe even something from the East - Persians or something from the Jewish revolt then?

    Sell toys tanks?

Yep, I'm pretty sure I put my list in - though I can't remember what I said. I think the last I heard from him was he was still thinking on it. I hope something else comes along.

    Sell toys tanks?

I got a couple of Irwin Sell's JgPz IVs and I really like them. I know he had plans to do more. Does anyone know if the first venture was a success and if there is a second vehicle on the way?

    Game of thrones !

The ages don't really mesh here? Dany's brother was weird but he looked no more than 30? When compared to the ages of Ned and Jon as we see them, it doesn't really work. I take it though this is made clearer in the books? I also take it, that Ned's sister was kidnapped or something?

    Game of thrones !

Yes, apparently the writers have Martin's endpoint in mind and will get there, but with a few deviations. If I was Martin however, I'd give a lot of thought to changing a few more things so that there's a lot of new stuff in the last books. He could even completely write the end that he was...

    Game of thrones !

Episode 9 spoilers Someone at work said it was the best battle scene he'd ever seen, including Braveheart and Helms Deep. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was just gut wrenching. I see some people have watched it twice, I don't know whether I could watch it again? It was just hellish - more...

    Game of thrones !

Spoilers!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think you're right with a few of those predictions. Ramsay in particular. Like with the Wheel of Time series, the writers have to start clearing the deck for the events of the final act. Things are crowded as it is. I think he's surpassed Joffrey as the most odious...

    Game of thrones !

I've just seen episode 8, things are getting interesting in a heap of ways. Aside from being the back from the dead season, it appears to be the redemption one too, as Theon and The Hound seem to be coming good. Though with two seasons still to go (I think), the next two episodes will surely...

    DAK 15 cm Howitzer pics

So, there's the gun, all nicely cammed up to avoid being easily spotted - with a couple of red and white barber shop poles or something along the trail pieces. Does anyone know what that's about?
