I think Wolfgang's comment has to do with typical environments vehicles may find themselves in.

I like scenes with non whitewashed vehicles in winter settings. There are many situations where whitewash wasn't available, there wasn't time, it wasn't tactically appropriate, the weather at the beginning of the battle was not snowy or alternating between snow and rain, etc., where vehicles...

Photography is a complex subject that combines both science and art. Composing scenes and taking pictures of miniatures can be very rewarding and doesn't have to break the bank. A little bit of groundwork, a picture background, and your favorite figures and models is all that you need to get...

Thanks guys, Sometimes, composition, framing, perspective, depth of field, lighting, contrast, color, shading, just come together. This was one of those pictures, it's up there amongst my favorites. I'm using a new backdrop I shot as well. It features an interesting sky.

I finally have a scenic piece big enough to hold multiple vehicles spaced out naturally.

Pulled out a Pz.IV for a scene.

I wanted to try direct lighting (simulated sunlight) for a change, as it can produce interesting textures and shadows. Mixed group of Soviet Army and Navy soldiers assault down the rail line.

Still waiting for the last of the window material. Leaves some time for details We used a combination of magnets and magnetic tape to fasten roof sections. It's not perfect but it does facilitate getting into the buildings. The shrubs and bushes alongside the buildings are completed...
