another andrea roman. the simple single piece casting showed an obvious solid casting and i masked this with a spare shield to represent some nautical unit. the poorly designed step base was enhanced with historex spares.
andrea roman legionaire. i tried a different paint scheme and selected a shield design away from the usual lightning bolts. the tunic was painted green instead of the usual red.
roman centurion, an ek fig conversion. these are 60mm figs with good value but always with suspect dimensions. the centurion had to have his cloak built up to create bulk. otw, the front details were good.
papua new guinea huli dancer. one of my favourite pieces. fully scratchbuilt. i rebased it in 2015 onto this unusual base and built up parts of it to create a tropical setting.
isabella n ferdinand. a beneito miniatures converted kit. a poorly produced kit. the figs seem to have been sculpted by two different persons. isabella is great but too tall. ferdinand was terrible and had to be resculpted in all areas. at that time, this was a postal order and there was no way...
egmont n hornes was a conversion adding two separate figures together. why the original makers cafestorme/mokarex didnt do this in the first place is a mystery to me as the figs were obviously based on a twinned sculpture of them.
marshal andre massena was a converted new hope design kit. i exaggerated his stoop and rebulit the lower part. semi-finished, still have to add his sword.
american civil war firing line vignette. based on an oop dragon 1/32 kit, i substituted shenandoah heads which had better detail as well as wolf miniatures guns.
two olde figures made many years back. no immediate plans to upgrade them.
chota sahib wren and ara miniaturens capt clark gable. looking back, that wren setting is freudian, with clark gable leering at the prospects...haHAHA
more pix to share. Ive discovered a simple black sheet of paper placed against a chair backing with the model placed on the lower part makes for a simple photo shoot without fuss.
ive selected some WW2 pieces to share in honour of the dday anniversary.

Hello John and Louis,
Thanks as always for looking in and your encouraging comments. Although largely planned, I was still lucky with being able to source for items efficiently in my spares just to keep the momentum going.
