Default Trip to Nwe York Historical Society - Mark, Andreas & Larry

On August 17th three TreeFrogers met up in New York to view the American Revolution Diorama and display at the New York Historical Society (Museum and Library).
    Mark (RevWarBuff)
    Andreas (Andanna)
    Larry Allen (ME!)

The museum is on 170 Central Park West, NY, NY.

To see the Revolution exhibit at the NYHS go to:,
or just go to the main page of the museum ( and go to Revolutionary Summer exhibit!

A wonderful diorama was built by OUR treefrog member Richard Schuster (nysoldier on the forum).

Many of the figures in the diorama are made by John Jenkins, to include his newest AWI figure --RIR-05 Private, Rhode Island Regiment 1781,
    Continental Army.

IN addition, as you will see in the upcoming pictures, are many that I contributed from my King & Country AWI series (Rhode Island). As well I was honored to help by supplying some JJD tents. Most of the figures were from Richards collection to include JJD Saratoga sets, Britains and Frontline Figures.

    Can you spot them?????

The diorama depicts the 1782 Encampment of the Continental Army at Verplanck's Point.

A special thanks goes out to Richard for his tremendous work in helping to organize this event and to the NYHS museum curator Mike Thorton.
