Hi Guys,
We just finished “master painting” this little beauty of an M38 Jeep complete with the 106mm Recoilless Rifle on the back.
I’m obviously biased but I think it came out pretty good.
A word of thanks to another talented hobbyist who did a ‘conversion’ of one of our Israeli ‘Ishermans’ for a collector... and did a fine job of it too!
I particularly liked his handling of ‘rust’ and ‘paint-chipping’. Some of which we incorporated here. Hope you like it and... as ever...happy collecting!
Andy

Great looking jeep! Plus, it goes well with the other sets.

I can't wait to see this one in person!

It just keeps getting better and better!! What a beauty!!

Thanks Guys for all your appreciative comments...Much as I love 'WW2'...

It's creatively so refreshing and exciting to explore and develop a range of figures and fighting vehicles in an area that has not been featured by any other toy soldier company to any great extent.

All of us at K&C are really enjoying developing and researching the 'Six-Day War' and the events that followed...Watch this space..!

Best wishes and have a great weekend, Andy.

I truly feel that this is one of the best series going, the subject matter, figures and future possibilites have all come together perfectly.

Some more other ideas for this series...apart from the issue of camo uniform (explained by Andy), some other para with this baggy jacket as you see in the pic. The rest of the commanders walking through the Gate of Lions (i must read the beautiful book by Pressfield with this title), especially Sharon..IDF troops with caps and not only helmets, IDF resting, reissue the U.S. tractor, some artillery! :)

Many thanks for the great pix and the very good suggestions...always welcome.

At this juncture, and still going forward, K&C will primarily concentrate on the 'in action' figures and the fighting hardware...Our next 2 x 'Fighting Vehicles' are already in the production process.

This series offers many exciting challenges and opportunities for a company such as K&C and I would like to especially thank the many collectors who already have greeted and enthused over this dramatic new range and are just beginning their collections.

Very best wishes and happy collecting! Andy.

"Our next 2 Fighting Vehicles are already in the production process".....hoping for an Israeli M3 Halftrack and Arab T54/55 Tank........Israeli Centurion and Patton Tank would be up there as well!

Andy mate,
This little Israeli 106 RCL is fantastic and brings back so many memories. I had the privilege of being Troop Leader, for twelve months of my Military Service, of a troop of 4 of these little beasts. Aussie version that is, as seen in the attached photos. 106RCL mounted on a 1/4 ton Land Rover. The vehicle differed from the Israeli in that we had a crew of four (NCO crew commander, driver, gunner and loader) and carried 6 ready rounds as can be seen from the ready photo shot. Another photo of some the boys after a week in the bush.
Looking forward to getting my hands on the Israeli version soon.
Cheers Howard

Howard:

The other difference is that the steering wheel on the Aussie version is on the wrong side.

Nice when you identify so closely to a vehicle as this one Howard. All good memories hopefully. Robin.

Jason,

if you look closely the steering wheel is on the RIGHT HAND SIDE which is the right side not the wrong side ....... maybe everyone else got it wrong :)

Hey Howard, great pics, some great memories for you. Reminds me of the annual Army display at my local "show" where they'd let the local kids climb in and on the Army vehicles including your Landrover with the Big gun, and Ferret scout car etc.

G'day Howard...What great pix of your earlier military career!!! Now which one of those young, good-looking lads is/was you..?
Also love those old Land Rovers...We had over 60 of them in our Hong Kong Regiment...both short and long wheelbase as we were classed as a Reconnaissance Regiment. In the Marines we mostly had the smaller, compact 'Air Portables' (my own personal favourite).
One of these days, in the not-too-distant future I hope K&C will get the opportunity to introduce some to our range. In the meantime...There's still the M38A1 to look forward to.
Best personal wishes, Andy.

Looking good Howard. That gun could only be operated by someone who drinks Jim beam and coke in the same can.
