No, no ... you guys forgot the Pre-invasion bombardment by the US Navy. That will clear the beaches and open a avenue for an easy landing and push inland.

Just like at Tarawa where the Navy fired 1,000's of shells into Betio for hours while the US Carrier planes dropped tons of explosive and .... and .... uh ... {sm2}
