I put this out every so often, generous Cash offer will be made for the 2006 American Civil War Collector Club Figure, please contact me if you are tempted to sell.

Thanks
Tom

Sorry I can't help you find the 2006 ACW figure. I realized I don't even have one! You might be interested in the new collectors club offerings though as it includes an ACW Union Officer in Matte finish. For those collecting the Waterloo range there is a Matte finished British Pioneer in addition to the Gloss British 1st Foot Guards center company EM and of course the Gloss 24th Foot 1879 Christmas set.

This is all so confusing; I have the form filled in in another window as I type this but I don't know which figure too choose .

I take it there won't be any ZW figure offered as a 'free' figure any time soon? I'll take the french sapper then.

I never seem to be able to make any snap decision.

Like most of you who plan on joining the collectors club I'm also planning to do so but looking forward to seeing the next group of collector figures before doing so for sooner than later I'm sure a figure will be offer of the Zulu War as a collectors figure. Got a hunch and so far it's paying off. Look at what WBritain is doing with all of there series and I'm sure they'll do the same with the Zulu War Line.....The Lt.

I'm under the impression you'll get a figure each year and I guess the only thing ZW soon is the Christmas set, which will be available only to members.

On the other hand, maybe you're right and in that case I'll have to buy that one figure through the club.

Hi Guys,

The Club is a nice thing to be a part of there are competitions and of course the magazine the Standard which has a lot of good information and they have recently been making 2 figures for the club one of which is free the other maybe purchased for a nominal fee and there is the Christmas sets and other sets that are forsale only to members so I think its a good expense. Welcome.

All the best

Dave

I am so torn. Join now or wait for the Christmas set. I just saw abeautiful Zouave figure they made for spring of 2004. Any left??????

Hi KV,

I looked at the club site and saw none left. They do show up on ebay once in a while. Also if you join they have a classified section in their magazine where people can post wants and for sale items. I dont have that one either

All the best

Dave

My sapper arrived today; first matte WB figure ever and I am VERY pleased. That's a lot since I am really hard to please. Nothing wrong with it except some minor bending but even that doesn't really distract from the piece.

The look of the matte finish is great. It's not too matte/dull, just perfect.

Can you imagine how good the Zulu war stuff will look [drools]

Joachin, my Sapper arrived yesterday. He's the only Toy Soldier I have of the period and want to show him off and found no faults with him. Britain's doing a great job with their figures and like you looking forward to the Zulu War Series. Like you I'd also planned to join at a later date but was kindly reminded by RW iI'd miss out on the Christmas Set and that would have been a no no on my part......The Lt.

If there are any Crimea collectors in Treefrogland, Britains still has the 2006 Christmas set (limited to 300) for sale. A a 3 piece set with Florence Nightingale, an orderly, and a wounded soldier.

I still have to order the Christmas set but will do that for sure.
I like the sapper as well. Maybe my next club figure will be the british pioneer as it complements the sapper very well. I think it will be a matter of time before there will be a ZW club figure. Right now it's busy enough as it is with the Modelzone exclusive (have to order that as well:eek:) and the very nice Christmas set. So no complaints here.
The pic is very nice. I'm looking much into different photo backgrounds lately and try to rework some but I'm very busy with non-hobby things right now.
The one you use is very versatile.

You might remember me talking about a battle of Ulundi print; my 15 month old son got hold of it and reworked that as well in a nasty way.
The good part is that i won't have it framed and I can invest in toysoldiers some more hehe:cool:
Still plan to photograph it though and make it available in a moderate size.

It's a great set...Shannon has it sitting by her computer!

Joachim, I order my Chrismas set on the day I joined the club and looking forward to it's arrival as they become available. I looking for a source of photos for the background of future photos for my mini dio photos. I'll pass it on if I find one. What Britain may want to consider doing is the same for all their product lines. It's food for thought Richard and Ken....The Lt.
