... does anyone know what happens when your subscription expires? Do they send you a new subscription offer or is it your responsibility to apply for a new subscription? I don't remember when my subscription expires!

I don't know if you get a reminder but it basically ends after 4 issues of the Standard. I got two issues in a few weeks time (the current issue at the time and the latest new one) and those count as two as my menbership ends february after the fourth issue. You have three months after that to renew basically, till the next issue. At least that is how I think it goes.

But getting a reminder would be nice.

Yes you do get a reminder for a new subscription which also allows you to state your choice of Collector's figure for the coming year (incidently 2008 gives you the choice of 4 figures instead of the usual 2).
I have been a member for some years and that's what happens here in the UK- cannot see it being any different Stateside as surely it's in Britain's interest to retain the membership.

:D Yep! It's the same her State side. You should get a re-up aplication in the Winter Issue of the "Standard"

Hello,
I am currently not a member of the Britain collector club.
What are the four figures being offerred by Britains collector's club?
Thanks
Benjamin

Hi Benjamin,
here they are. The first two are in matte finish (Napoleonic and Civil War) and the other two are in glossy (FIW and Crimean War)
Happy Collecting!

Hi Guys,

Those are great! I already know which one(s) I will get since you can get the free one plus all the others if you want for a nominal fee. Very pleased with selection this year!

I also think you will enjoy the quarterly magazine the Standard as well as getting the catelogs.

All the best

Dave

Hi Konrad,

Has the Britains Collectors club ever produced a WW2 "free" collectors soldier?
Regards
andrew

Hi Andrew,

I dont believe they have yet. I will go through all of the old info I have to make sure but I think not.

Andrew,
I do recall some Brits that came out for the 50th anniversary of D-Day which I think were available to members only for purchase. I don't think the "free" with membership figure was ever from the World Wars.

This is why we decided to offer 4 different collectors club figures this time. We understand that the interests are wide and that we will need to offer more selections in the future. Perhaps we can offer some 20th century subjects this coming year as WWI & II will be added to in 2008.

let it not be said that you guys were not responsive enough to the desires of collectors. The new Britains may be one of the best manifestations yet:D

Looks like i will be joining Britains club in 2008.....if there are WW2 figuers
Well done to the Britains team
Andrew

:) I imagine the next issue of the Standard will come out probably next month.
If something doesn't show up a little sooner. The figures take about two weeks to month depending on how busy they are and the post timing etc..
Marks' team seems to be on the ball for the most part.
Keep an eye on the mail box, and try not to drool on the package.(Makes it harder to open.:D)
O.C.
