My son Alec took some photos of some Figarti Vehicles landing from a Figarti LCT on D-Day Plus 2:

Great pics Louis, did you get the larger Figarti LST (Landing Ship Tank)? I know some guys got hold of that shock and awe item.

Well done to your son on his photos Louis ! :salute::

Yes, Matt. The LST is the centerpiece of my D-Day +2 diorama. I will have my son take a few photos giving an overview of the diorama and post them.

Here are some overview shots. This diorama is one of the two central features of the Figarti Room, which has all of the Figarti shock and awe pieces except for Nelson's Victory.

Great, big, realistic diorama...And I love the figarti detailed and well proportioned figures, great vehicles too.:salute::

Louis, your D-Day boat is amazing as is your collection. An entire room dedicated to Shock & Awe pieces. How cool is that!

You certainly have some amazing pieces in your collection Louis ! :salute::

Rick Wang's father had come to the second Symposium I held at my house, at which time, I only had one display cabinet dedicated to Figarti products. When Rick came the following year, he made a deal with me. He wanted me to dedicate a room just to Figarti products, and promised me it would be worth my while if I did. I agreed, and he upheld his end of the bargain. I have several Figarti prototypes, and a bunch of Figarti banners (one of which is all of photos of me with Figarti products or at Figarti events). I have also upheld my end of the bargain, and the room is still dedicated to WWII Figarti products, from the first primitive Chinese-Japanese War troops, the first vehicle (a very nicely done Japanese Chi Ha Tank, through all the WWII shock and awe pieces. The only thing Rick promised which never came to fruition was a Figarti B17 done in the markings of the plane my Uncle Joe died in, the Rikki Tikki Tavi. Rick sold Figarti before that happened, but he did so many nice things for me otherwise, I will always dedicate that room to Figarti.:smile2:

What an awesome story, Louis. Thanks for sharing. Even with my K&C, it's scattered throughout the house.
I'm sure you have some incredible pieces in your collection, minus the Rikki Tikki Tavi.
{bravo}}

Just thought I’d pull this thread up since tomorrow is D-Day plus 2.

Hi Louis, what an amazing collection of Figarti figurines, ship and vehicles dedicated to D Day. Thank you very much for sharing. I also love Figarti, especially my Figarti V1 Launch Ramp set.

Cheers,
Grey

Nice and could not be a more apt reminder Louis :salute::

Still an awesome set of figs Louis (and the boat is an LCT). :salute:: Chris

Just amazing! Love looking at these shots. That poster is pretty cool as well. I'm a little late, but here's to the Greatest Generation of heroes.

Thanks Rob! :salute:: I was lucky enough to be friends with Rick Wang and Steven Chong, who graciously gave me several Figarti Posters, including one which was made all of photos of me with Figarti products or at Figarti events (Rick has a weird sense of humor). They also gave me several Figarti prototypes, all of which I display in my "Figarti Room," where this diorama is housed.
