Speaking for myself i have only ever found one set of figures that i feel really fit into my K&C collection without them looking obviously different. This being the very first releases from NMA 'The Mortar team',so as a rule i don't mix.The new Figarti V weapon figures are superb but they are in their own area in their own scene.I would also say that the crew with the Figarti MK4 are very good too,but again my Tanks are seperate from my troops. So my questions are have you found a producer whose troops fit really well in your opinion with K&C?.Do you mix all your soldiers together?.Or are you like me in that you are a separatist?

Rob

I don't mix soldiers I only use K&C but I mix 1/35 buildings as I build the kit ones and find they work fine.I also use FOV tanks in the back ground and I think they look ok but to some the scale has to be spot on.

I collect K&C's NAPs and AWI only ... but have just bought my first set of Frontline's new French & Indian wars artillery set.

This gun and crew look good with K&C's AWI.

I havent found any soldiers yet but
At present I only have the one non K and C vehicle mixed in [as in photo]
but I,ve got Figartis lrdg,s on the way and I,ve ordered a long tom so
that about to increase to some degree .

involving plastic men :).

I know its been said before , but what a great range they had,
Afrika korps ,gurkhas , Eighth Army ,US paras where a few of my favourites
[the big draw card being the single set of heavy weapons you got in a box,
i.e paras mortar or 8 th army vickers ] pontoon bridge ,bunkers , I must
stop myself before this becomes a want list ;)

You can mix K & C with Figarti (vehicles only) and NMA (including the figures). I have two Figarti Honeys mixed in with my other Desert troops and vehicles and it looks fine.

Not sure if Collectors Choice works however.

Yep i've got a Figarti Honey with my K&C EA figures and it looks good.
I've also mixed my NMA marsh pattern FJs in with the first batch of K&C FJs from a few years back.
I also have the HB sherman with K&C US tanks and vehicles.

Those Figarti Honey's are sweet (pardon the pun). The new MKIV fits in very well with my other Winter vehicles especially the Winter Tiger and Sturmtiger,i need a Marder now.

I have Del Prado mixed in with my K&C Napoleonics and they look great ! When doing a large square - these guys are great fillers. Also Del Prado has some neat Mounted Figures for the period which look nice with Napoleonic dioramas.

I have NMA Winter Germans with my K&C Winter Germans as well - they look great together too.

Figurewise for WWII the Del Prado figures mingle in well, varying quality but there are some very nice Del Prado pieces, Have NMA mortar crew excellent, and some desert FJ's.Patriot figures are a little bigger than K&C but fit in very well in diorama (americans and french resistence). CS (germans) fit in but they are a different , more gritty style so I don't have them standing right next to the K&C figures, have a few HJB ,like especially the guy getting shot. Got the Figarti paratroopers jumping over the barbwire(1/32) they are smaller than K&C but that particular set fit well in a K&C diorama setting

The only NAPPS I have are the Patriot ones , got them cos they looked great , when I saw them in person, but guessing they are bigger than K&C

I add Hounor Bound to my K&C with some NMA vehicles and dash of Figarti stuff and hint of Britains.

Most Delprado seem to mix ok with K & C as they are apparently designed by K & C but the cheaper figures can vary a bit in quality.

As Rob has said, the NMA German mortar crew fit well with K & C but are a tad smaller.

Honour Bound figures are good but more of a slim style and I display them with Honour Bound vehicles rather than mix them with the better fed K & C troops.

The only Britains figures I have mixed are the two wounded Germans that are on the Honour Bound German Food Line for a meal from the nifty HB Kitchen. The reason being that most of the Britains figures seem to have a 'thousand yard stare'. Which I think is caused by them having to much white in the eye together with the fact that their eyes aren't slightly recessed like the more realistic K & C figures.

I display my figures with my vehicles as I think it adds some realism as does some trees etc.

Nice pic Oz,i have the prime mover too, another iconic piece of German hardware.

Gentle Friends,

As most of you know, I collect a wide variety of eras and manufacturers, including K&C. The only instance in which I mix the figures of manufacturers is with my Delhi Durbar collection. With the Delhi Durbar, I freely mix my Britains figures with my Marlborough figures. I do not mix my K&C figures with those produced by any other manufacturer.

Warmest personal regards,

Pat

Thanks Rob, did you notice the NMA Mortar Crew acting as passengers in the back of the Halftrack?

Since that pic was taken I have added the K & C 'Sgt and two rifle men' to the second seat and moved the HB Panther (far left) to a separate HB shelf as I added some more HB models to my collection including a now hard to get HB Jagdpanther

Btw, I also have a K & C Jagdpanther and it is the same length as the HB version but slightly wider.

Yes i did see that Oz and it looks like it works well.I have the K&C Jagdpanther which is cool but i missed out on HB version, always to much choice not enough funds.I must get the passengers for the prime mover soon though,i can imagine they might be retired at some point soon, they've been around a while now.
