Hi Guys,

Here’s a little something for the weekend... a little ‘looksee’ at some female figures that will appear in the not-so-distant future.

Best wishes and happy collecting!
Andy

Oh no, I was already struggling to resist the temptation to get all those marvelous hussar figures and the Duelists set as it was... :(

Sorry Andy, these new NAPs would have to be the last thing I'd buy from you as part of my collection.

They are just a modern representation of what the real 'camp followers' of that era were, more like a modern Folies Bergère girl so why spend all your talent on that sort of figure???

I'd now expect you to say "Well that what sells" and so you have your reason .........

I would love to see the REAL camp followers,
the women who provided the home comforts for the troops in those days,
the ones who cooked, provided emotional support, sewing skills, nursing skills,
and 'sexual favours' to the men throught long campaigns throughout Europe.

I love the other 3 NAP figures you have so far produced

NA124.jpg

NA192(L).jpg
NA348(L).jpg

and even the P&M gal, who also 'fits the bill' into a camp scene.

So lets see more civilian figures from this period, but in realistic costume befitting that time of place.

While I can understand a different point-of-view John...I also like to, just occasionally, do something a little bit different from what I may have done before...or indeed what I might do in the future...That's what creative people do.

As I have said many times, "You're never going to please everyone all of the time...But if you please yourself once in a blue moon at least one person is happy!"

So, it's fun to be a wee bit whimsical...even in the world of toy soldiers.

Best wishes and happy collecting! Andy.

If Andy is moving into fantasy figures, may I humbly suggest the following two figures:

1) She wolf of the SS, and
2) SS woman in lingerie.

Conte made the SS she wolf a few years back. There was something I really liked about that figure. Two things in fact. :wink2:

I agree. So given these lovely sculpts, please please please can we have a lovely Milady de Winter for the Pike and Musket range? :D

There will most certainly be a very sexy (and very lethal) 'Milady de Winter'...That's a promise!!!

And some other 'Belles of the Battlefield' too.

Many thanks Guys and enjoy your weekend! Andy.

You may have to sculpt these Andy after the wife has gone to bed.^&grin, Robin.

Patton, I agree doing a SheWolf figure in this manner would be quite popular with many ! Looking forward to any WWII themed figures :salute::

I have found a few more 'gals' to go on the NAP battlefield ...

NAP0562cover.jpg

First Legion

but this is more of what I'd like to see..... more realistic to the times ...

Also First legion.

I think it is important to note that there is documentation for French officers' mistresses wearing form fitting cavalry uniforms. I do take historical issue with the waistcoat and the cut of the trousers, but the concept is completely accurate. That said, I would also like to see some authentic camp followers.

As to the SS woman, unless there is historical evidence for it, I think it is just sexualizing evil. I can understand SS cermaonial figures, but that would really cross the line in my opinion. Particularly because the actual mistresses SS officers forced into service were often prisoners or unwilling civilians.

There's room for both.
