Happy birthday to Howard (4 OCT).
Just had a long chat with Howard as he has just come out of hospital after a back operation (gotta say
his timing is lousy). Went well but he is spending most of his time in bed and has limited access to his computer as not supposed to walk around much. He says he has over 100 emails he has not been able to answer so if you have sent him a message recently that will explain why no reply.
Must be the first Despatches where he had to have it read out and described to him !!! Naturally he is already planning further additions to his Lighthorse display. Even if I say so myself he was
impressed with my description of the new NE's on camels and we were calculating AL Camel Corps prices in anticipation of their release.
He did get some good news when he came out of hospital. Seems there was a big package
waiting for him. His wife thought he had bought another K&C Lancaster but Howard had no idea what
it was. Only a short while ago it had been in a certain Chicago hotel room and Howard thought it had
been sold. No prizes for guessing what it was and needless to say he was very happy with it.
Nice one Andy.
Anyway, happy birthday and a speedy recovery Howard.
Regards
Brett
