Hi Guys,

Among the next batch of Six-Day War Israeli Paras which will appear in a few months is this "Sniper"... One of my own favourites!

Enjoy...
Andy

Looks good Andy but does he need a base? As already discussed, it would be great if figures could have no bases if they are sitting, squatting or lying flat on the ground. I know where possible you try and have figures without bases but it would be good to see more without them. I'm also talking about all ranges including my favourite WW2.

Tom

some minor adaptations and we have a very nice allied WW2 sniper
Guy:)
PS: I support 100% Tom's suggestion about bases

While I agree that sometimes figures without bases can and do work I wanted, in this particular instance, to retain the base.
Some later releases WILL dispense with the bases especially 'tank riders and other fighting vehicle passengers...But this particular guy will retain his as will a few others I will post shortly.

Thanks for your thoughts guys, Andy.

Hi Guys,

Here's a few additional pix of just some (not all) of the upcoming Israeli Paras...

Best wishes and happy collecting,
Andy

Great series , very impressed when I saw the tank and figures at the London Toy Soldier Show. Perhaps one day even a Centurion! Those forthcoming tank riders that Andy mentioned have got to ride on the back of something!

The Centurion is on our 'to do'list..and one of my own personal favourites...Will look great with the IDF soldiers...The Israeli Army of '67 had some amazing equipment from all over the world and certainly knew how to use it to their best advantage!

Best wishes and happy collecting! Andy.

the design and sculpting on these new sets are amazing!!!! the detail on the sniper is superb.

Many thanks Sammy...much appreciated I will pass on your kind words to the sculptor.
Best wishes, Andy.
P.S.
At present he is working on my designs for our first Egyptian and Syrian infantry.

I really really really really really (did I mention really?) like these figures.

Simply incredible stuff!

Hi Andy , beautiful figures particularly the sniper and the figure urging forward with the finger! These figures will be all olive drab or you'll insert some camo trousers or jackets ? I agree with you on the bases. Regards
Andrea

Many thanks Jason and Andrea for the appreciation...At this time the Israelis will be in standard 'Olive Drab'...Camo is great but takes a lot more time to paint and therefore increases the price to collectors.
So, we will go with 'OD' for now but perhaps release one or two special figures with 'Camo' at some later date.

Best wishes, Andy. .

This is one of the instances where I prefer the solid colors (olive drab) over the camouflage uniforms.

Great news - I'll start saving now!

When it comes to Israeli vehicles and equipment of the Six-Day War period there are a wealth of terrific choices to choose from...Much of it WW2 surplus....Obviously the Centurion is postwar as was its stablemate the American M48.

K&C are really looking forward to exploring ALL the armies involved in this conflict and their amazing varieties of weapons, fighting vehicles and other 'hardware'...

Best wishes and happy collecting! Andy.

I haven't been this excited about a new series in many years. It would be appreciated by many collectors if K&C could provide some of the tanks and vehicles with different markings. Similar to what they did with the Russian T-34s, same body but two or three different serial numbers and maybe hatch positions. I for one would love to do a column of Israeli tanks going into battle as well as several Arab/Russian tanks attacking.
I'm committed to buying everything that comes out in this range!

Many thanks 'NY' for your support and enthusiasm! It is very encouraging...Re 'alternative markings'...One possibility is to utilise the services of some of the very talented guys right here on Treefrog who can and do 'conversions' of vehicles in order that you do not have to wait until K&C do a second or third variation.

At present, we are concentrating on production and release of all-new figures and vehicles such as the upcoming Paras you see here...We also intend to launch another fighting vehicle to go with them at the same time.

Hope this helps, best wishes and happy collecting! Andy.
