The Advent season is here and once again I am happy to be able to help John by posting his conception sketches of planned future releases here on the Treefrog Forum as well as the John Jenkins Designs Collectors FB group. This is certainly one of many great ways to start the 2024 year end holiday season. May everyone see/find a sketch or more of something they can look forward to collecting.

Yes you kind of feel the festive season is slowly coming into focus when John's advent calendar starts. Good start as well. But its the ancients I particularly look out for.

It will be an outstanding figure. According to Lawrence E. Babits, author of "A Devil of a Whipping," there wasn't a flag representing the Maryland units at Cowpens. At the time of Cowpens, the Maryland unit was made up of what was left after the disaster at Camden. However, a flag bearer would "enhance" the battlefield.
Open for debate.

Well, if it's Ancients you like then you will be very pleased as this week's sketches progress.

John makes so many Ancients fields plus there are so many yet to do.
Any thoughts on what will be?
Fighting Hittite Chariot and Helen of Troy are all we are looking for now. For now...
Happy Holidays!

Yep only the second sketch and the ancients have arrived, and much needed reinforcements for those sold out Balearic slingers. As an aside I collected most of the the yellow shielded Roman Republican infantry. To balance things against the ever growing Carthaginian forces I am picking the red shielded versions of the Romans.

Out of curiosity, does John have anything in the Napoleonic era in the pipeline?

Brendan
