Hi,

I don't see this AVF made by K&C get much mention over the years. Anything wrong with it? Seems like a sleeper.

It's not a Stug IV either. It's a Jagdpanzer IV. Maybe it isn't popular because no one could figure out what it is. ;)

I think most people are more familiar with the Jagdpanzer IV L/70, like the Figarti model. The Jagdpanzer IV L/48 was an early version. The Figarti Jagdpanzer IV has a moving barrel in both elevation and azimuth; does the K&C Jagdpanzer barrel move or is it fixed in place?

You are right of course, Terry. I apologize.

I was being serious. If you read the history of the Stug IV and the Jagdpanzer IV not even the Germans knew the difference. Guderian was vocally opposed to developing a Jagdpanzer IV but Hitler wanted one developed. Both were built on the Panzer IV chassis but had different superstructures. The Jagdpanzer IV was to have a better high velocity anti-tank gun but the L/70 wasn't ready so the early Jagdpanzer IV had the L/48 gun same as the late Stug IV. Much confusion as to use and deployment.

Isn't the 2 tone paint scheme more of a summer version? Would it look out of place in a winter setting with snow? I'm puzzled why K&C didn't give it a white wash. The commander is wearing is snow smock.

To be honest 'JP', we thought of giving the vehicle a coat of whitewash but also recognised the fact that not all German fighting vehicles were given a 'winter' makeover...
.However it might be a very good idea\suggestion for a 'second edition'...Thanks and best wishes, Andy.

Andy,

had another of the BBG AFV's made over to winter so I would agree white wash would work well
