KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- April 2022 (1 Viewer)

I agree, but there should be some sooner rather than later, Andy mentioned some new Battle of the Bulge figures and some vehicles to go with the new D Day British sets released recently. I was hoping, but Hey Ho there is always next month, I would also like to see some new Field of Battle, that 2lb Andy did for the desert would be a must have if repainted for France 1940, also been a while since any aircraft or some Lufwaffe sets, would like to see some Luftwaffe airfield vehicles.

New BOB in the pipeline you say? Bring 'em on! That's always been my favorite range from K & C with so many great figures and vehicles over the years. I wonder what might be in the works?

Joe

The Mummy is great! Always loved those old horror flick. Karloff was the best.

Boris Karloff was a horror icon...him and Lon Chaney Jr. (the man of 1,000 faces) used to rattle my cage when I was a kid...

Andy said in a thread that they were working on some new K & C Battle of the Bulge sets. it is also one of my favourite ranges, the Battle of the Ardennes is a period in WW2 i am very interested in and have been lucky enough to visit the area a few times, just planning a couple of days there over the summer, couple of days there and a few days on the Roman Limes Lines. Like you i am wondering what we see next? I was impressed more by the recent Germans than the Americans, but bought both, i have been thinking what we could see next, you any ideas and/or what is on your wish list?

I would just like to see some new BBG and BBA soldiers in battle action poses. I agree, the recent Germans were better than the Americans which were just repaints of DD figures. But I'd love to see a whole slew of knew sculpts the likes of the VN and IDF ranges. I'd like to see some of the Germans in camo and to see if they hold up to the paint work of earlier BB figures. Is there anything specific on your wish list?

On the Battle of the Ardennes, there was a lot small actions with units taking a stand to slow down the German advance, adhoc units around an AT gun or an engineering unit blowing up bridges and creating roadblocks. Vehicles and AFVs, an M5 or even better an M8 would be great.

For Germans there would be a great addition if the German troops from the Poteau Crossroads anbush on Dec 18th 44, the Paras on the back of the King Tiger, figures and vehicles from BK Von Bohn, a Puma would be good.

Bit outside the box but a couple of buildings from the SP range for the Ardennes.

I really like the idea of US units you described. Those would be great. The German stuff sounds good to me too aside from a Puma. SP range BB buildings would also be welcome. That reminds me of one of Gordon's winter dioramas....I'm going to have to find my pictures of it and post them.

Now this guy and his horse will sue fit in nicely with previous issues from the regiment,

well done !!

John

I'm looking forward to adding this figure to my Scots Greys as well. Here's hoping there are many more Napoleonics in the pipeline for 2022.

Andy,

Considering the great job you did on the Gun Trucks, how about giving some serious thoughts to re-doing:

There are new 50cal Quads on the Vietnam trucks, will need retro work, but would look great and be an excellent addition to my BotB collection, could do a version as well for the Ramegan Bridge, the often used picture withe the GI leaning against the back of it.

I'd settle for a normal halftrack. K&C have only ever made one Dday version in their history.

That may be true however, as a whole, K&C have produced more types of US Army Half Tracks than all the other companies combined!
In the pipeline is another WW2 Half Track…British this time.
Andy.

Sorry mate, that wasn't supoozed to come across as a dig, just an observation! Love halftracks! I know if you did a DDay US one it would be popular!

Awesome! Looking forward to that landing in my table!😃

Cheers Andy, any hints on other new British vehicles for D Day?
