Just a quick note on the exciting new Nassau Line Infantry release from First Legion shown in their add in the November Toy Soldier Magazine. They look fabulous, as per usual. Certainly the Napoleonic range is not suffering for inattention.:D

Congratulations First Legion on another fantastic release. I am sure Matt will be along to fill in the details and provide some more photos.

Very interesting release. After seeing these on the workbench for a while, I have to say I am impressed with them. It is great to see First Legion head into new territory as well. I don't know of anyone else who has produced such an extensive group of Nassau troops.

Thanks Bill, that is correct. The release is the 1st Nassau Line Infantry at Waterloo and the codes are NAP0176-NAP0187. I just noticed in the advert below that we inadvertantly set the numbers wrong, skipping NAP0184 by accident!

In terms of images, I think you have that covered for the time being! The advert shows 10 of the 12 figures in the release. There is an additional voltigeur and additional fusilier not shown. I'll post individual figure images at the end of next week or so when we start the pre-order.

These will be shipping right around Christmas. Hope you all like them!

Best,

Matt

WOW ! They look Great . It is so Great to see the coverage that FL is giving to the armies of the Napoleonic era and not just the same old safe ones . I can't wait to see whats next ...and the hint of two new lines . I love it but my wallet is already starting to cry..

Matt,

I thought the Russian Infantry was the next release. Does this mean that the Russian infantry will be coming out early 2010?

By the way the Nassau troops look great!!! :)

Alas, the next release (due out before the Nassau) is the Old Guard Grenadiers. Pre-order to start very soon. The Russian Infantry are coming though! We just did the Russian Artillery, so at least each time the Russian Infantry get pushed, it's because of something else that is Russian! ;)

Matt,

These figures will look great when placed alongside your Prince of Orange figure. How soon do you think it will be before you have these posted on the website for preordering? I look forward to see the individual photos which show more details. Plus there will be photos of the two missing figures?

Matt you are a very busy man, so I understand there are only so many hours in the day. I was just wondering, not pressuring. Thank you for posting the new Old Guard figures on the website.

The Pre-Order for the Nassau figures should start by next Thursday or Friday or thereabouts with a ship date in mid-December. Yes, all 12 figures will be shown. There is actually only one missing figure (a second voltigeur), I had miscounted previously as the group image shows 11 of the 12 figures in the release (9 different figures in front rank, 2 different figures in rear rank).

Yes, they will be shipping in time for Christmas. Note their semi-Christmas colors! Last year we released the Westphalian Guard Jaegers, of which the cornet figure was our version of a Christmas figure (my 4 year old at the time saw the figure and said "look, daddy, he's Christmas.") I guess this year, the Nassau Sapper would be the "Christmas" figure. :D

Great news ! The Nassau Sapper " Christmas " figure . hmmmm. That give me an idea maybe I can take several of my FL figs and storm my fiancés -Dickens Christmas village she likes to set up every year I wonder what old Fezziwig and Marley's ghost would think of that ? :D

Martial law in London? Cool. Or... Alternative history, have Boney's Old Guard occupy London.

Whoops... I inadvertantly said "last year when we released the Westphalian Garde Jaegers...." when I obviously meant the Westphalian Jaeger Carabiniers! Dare I say a freudian slip of the tongue and preview of things to come...................... :D

Did somebody say Westphalian Garde Jeagers ? ;)

One thing about Borodino, it is a great battle when it comes to producing the French Allies.... ;)

Amen to that ! I would just like to thank you guys again for not just taking the same old approach when it come to producing Figures . Its wonderful to see the variety of units being reproduced and your not just playing it safe and doing the " Safe ones ' ...that is to say the sure sales. As I don't know you and most definitely am not on the pay roll when I say thanks it comes from the Heart (and my wallet ) Heres to years and years of Great collecting;) gebhard

I am waiting very patiently for the Nassau contingent to be posted on the FL site so that I can get a closer look at them. They look like one of the best releases yet.
