Poppo, Don't make this your last dio here. The more the ......................MERRIER !!!!!!!

Thank you PA, but it is dryed earth and dust, not sand ^&grin

The battle was fought in the "Russian Steppes", dust is Ok but more grass and low bushes would make it more real in my opinion. Very good effort though. Hope your wife doesn't mind some extra dust in the house !!!!

Thank you Guy for your comments...Well, at first I am single so I can also destroy the home if I wish :p And space is finished now, and honestly also my desires about historic periods and uniforms are fullfilled. I Have what i wanted and in the proportions I wanted. I like toysoldiers but not so much to have them in every centimeter of my flat or repeted situations. Sure, i ll still buy something, maybe for my flat in italy at the seaside, and I will be glad to watch your and other collectors new dio, see the new releases and write and read in the historical session. And I will keep on watching what I have, I am always amazed to see those men acting in my room, frozen in that instant. You don' t know if they will live or die, and honestly I don' t want to know it :)

A very enjoyable scene Poppo, thanks for posting. The guy crouching, is that the guy answering the call of nature that you've repainted?

I agree about more grass and also low bushes, but I wanted to show a dusty country road in the steppe, and the area was so large that many kind of lanscapes were.

depends on which part of the salient that the fighting was on to what the ground was like. Much of the area was quite sparse so, the pictured groundwork is acceptable especially in parts of Prokhorovka where some of the bitterest fighting was.

Nice to see people having a go at scratch built dio's IMO
