I think Rocky was wounded in Viet Nam but went on to a very successful career with Pittsburgh of the NFL. I think the athlete was Bob Kalsu of the Buffalo Bills, NFL. -- AlWas it Rocky Bleier?? (think thats how you spell the surname)

Hi Mitch: Rocky was wounded in Vietnam and played for the Steelers when he returned I think. Like Tillman, this one played for the Bills and went into the Army.Was it Rocky Bleier?? (think thats how you spell the surname)

Hi Al: You are correct. Lt. Bob Kalsu left the Bills in 1969 and was killed in a mortar attack on Alpha battery at fire support base Ripcord in 1972. Lt. Kalsu was the only professional athlete killed in Vietnam.
