I am wondering if anyone can help me with a slight problem that I have. I have the Britians Irish State coach, the horse do not have a base and keeping them stood up is a task. The set was poorly designed and was a problem amongst collectors.
I want to add a small base to each of the horses to add stability to them so I can connect them all up to the coach (currently they reside in a drawer).
Can anyone recommend :
a) the best type of material to use as a base (I believe the horses are pewter)
b)the best means of fixing them to the base.
c) the hooves are painted (should I scrape off the paint on the contact points?)
Cheers
