Hi guys

My Tarawa diorama is ready.
I can still use more Marines and Japanese figures. and maybe I still use sand for the bottom? But for now I am satisfied with it.
Here are the photos of the red beach 2 diorama.
have fun watching.

Harrie , I have 1 word : "FANTASTIC" full of action, beautiful backdrops, great setting and very well executed
BRAVO
guy:smile2:

Your diorama is well and truly a scenic masterpiece Harrie that any TS collector would love to have, with great attention paid to detail, such as the BAR gunners abandoned web equipment, the storage jars with the Oriental characters etc The backdrops are really well chosen all that's missing is the smells and sounds of combat ! :salute:::salute:::salute::

Hi Harrie,

your diorama is so much cooler than anything I've ever dreamed up!{eek3} Everything is astounding! You're a great artist! I can't rip my eyes from these pages. {sm3}

Thanks a lot for sharing your terrific pictures with us! Keep going on!!!:eek:

Best regards

Enrico

Well Harrie ... where do I begin? ^&confuse

INCREDIBLE what you have accomplished with this diorama / scene / display ... gee, I don't know what to call it, it being so wonderful to look at and study.

You have incorporated so many "focus points: it is hard to turn away for these pages ... as Enrico so eloquently pointed out.
Does the Japanese writing on the jugs actually say something in Japanese?

Love the attention you paid to all the tiny (and big) items that make up this work of art.

Man, Harrie .... you have set the bar way up there. {sm4}

SUPER JOB!

guys first of all thanks for your great Response to my Tarawa Diorama!

This Forum is a Fantastic way to collect collectors with each other. every collector does this on his way. That gives so much fun to look at. you learn from each other and come up with ideas.

My beginning of a Tarawa diorama started more than a year ago. even for that andy releases the new USMC series. Maybe it's because looking at the TV series the Pacific. that made a big impression on me.
when I started the dio it would be a small diorama! The Marines And Japs of the IWO JIMA series had been sold out for a long time. I buy a few on Ebay. But they were hard to find and they were a viking attack on my bank account.

So you understand I jumped a hole in the air (Dutch proverb) when Andy came with the new USMC.
I hope that andy come with more sets for the Pacific War.
So that I can build another Pacific diorama?
I just do not know what but you never know?

Thanks Larry.

yes the Japanese writing on the jugs actually say something on the wooden boxes is Sake the Japanese rice wine. and on the stone pot is rice. I like these little things it gives more feeling to your diorama

Beautiful diorama Harrie. I really enjoyed looking at all the pictures. You've done a terrific job incorporating all the elements of the scene.

I've started collecting some of the new K&C Marines and Japanese figures lately and do have some of the older Iwo Jima marines as well.

Your scene is giving me inspiration to come up with something myself. Thanks for sharing.
