Since there's been a lot of discussion about Tarawa, I thought I'd mention a couple of pieces I saw in the room of Minuteman Toy Soldiers in Chicago.

George Guerriero (Warrior on this Forum) told me that he sold two of these in Chicago. He paints them in sand colors. The color of the model in the above photo is a bit deceiving because of the light.

He told me this morning that the above goes with below sections that he will be ordering. These have not been painted yet.

As a starter, I will be ordering the piece on the right in the first photo since I don't have room for all of them (but may order its companion).

I've seen the unpainted version elsewhere, but for those who don't have the time or inclination, painted ones by George will be a blessing !

Being in George's room for 6 days I can confirm that these are really good diorama sets to complement the K&C USMC sets.

George did a great job at painting the two that were on display. They sold the first days or else they would have been coming home with me. The size of most of the 6 pieces are (approx) 12" x 12".
The bigger two bunker piece is approx 12" X 18".

Light weight foam and well detailed.

With the exception of the Tarawa display in the K&C room, there was none others at Chicago that compared to these.

That would be me ^&grin

Ha Ha, Very good Brad !^&grin^&grin^&grin

George really did a great set up for the show and am glad to hear it was worth his while.
If I hadn't already bought the stuff needed for a DIY job, I'd be sorely tempted myself to go for the ready made. Oh B's !
Good news is it'll leave me more to spend on the figures !{sm4}
