What a sight that must have been when they were new. Can you imagine the final inspection tour by the emperour. Someday I will get there. Someday, maybe if I quit collecting toy soldiers, sold every one I have and then maybe.... nah, I'll wait. Toys first, trips second. Ya, That's the ticket. Toys first, trips second.

That is one of the most fascinating finds. A bit excessive but, man, what a record and snapshot of a spectacular culture.
 
Timeless monument to military power and in the ultimate scale 1:1. It is just amazing something like this was found relatively intact.

Were there weapons in the soldiers hands originally ? I also thought I read something about them being painted also, but I am not sure.
