The battle for Hue City (1 Viewer)

Excellent squad of men moving forward. Robin.

Definitely a 'Blast from the Past'...

I still remember when we launched this series with a major diorama of a Vietnam Firebase complete with a rice paddy outside the perimeter, water buffaloes, some Vietnamese Peasants, a couple of Vietcong snipers and no less than 3x 'Hueys' (one on the FB helipad and two hovering at different heights above and around the display).

I believe K&C were one of the very first toy soldier companies to produce any Vietnam War themed figures and accessories...We even produced both wood and resin 'Duster' tanks and M113 APC tracks!!!

Happy memories of the late 1990's...Thanks for the reminders, Andy.

Just a thought.....I wonder if this series came back around with better sculpting and paint as of current K&C versus the 1990's versions.
Not that they were bad back then, but detail has steadily improved during the last 15 years. Add in the price point of the new Israeli figures.....Any takers ?

Now, there's a thought!
Andy.

Would be interested if those new sculpts included Australians

I have both KC & FL Vietnam soldiers. FL has more detail than KC, but KC has this smooth finish when you handle them, which I like. Most importantly, KC has some classic poses. Crouching running and holding his helmet. The radio operator and officer. The way the soldiers carry/handle their M-16s. Squatting soldier. Classic.
