I found this untouched and OOP set in my hoard and decided to build it. Three figures including Varus on a base to represent part of the Teutoburg forest massacre. Nicely cast in resin and metal. The figures are closer to 1/35 scale. I repositioned the straight arm on the centurion with an inserted wire.

Careful, Vic-it's easy to lose yourself in this series! A couple of years ago, Time Machine displayed at our show a diorama using the entire series. It was in a case about 3 feet square or so. You can make a really impressive display, if you get them all and give yourself the time.

I look forward to seeing your progress with these!

Prost!

Hi Brad,

Thanks for the alert!:) Not only a lot of potential sets but each set cost a fair bit. I think that Time Machine has been OOP for some time now and am not sure when they will return, if ever.

For now, I'll just focus on this vignette.

They've been at our shows here in the US, too, still very much alive and kicking.

Prost!

Hi Brad, Mirof and Andanna,

Thanks for your replies. And thanks for that great writeup on the diorama.
It shows a lot of effort and focus by the modeler. It probably cost quite a bit for such a massive undertaking!

I used to correspond with the original owner Jim Corless many years back and heard that he had sold it off. The website currently has many empty leads and doesn't indicate a definite presence on-line. I do wish them the best and will check in now and then to see their progress.

I've assembled this piece, ready for painting. BTW, the website is gone but you can still get TM figures from Berliner Zinn.

Time Machine use to be a good company but I don't think they are even in business anymore.

Hi Mark,

Looks like they are not active. But somebody might decide to revive the company in the future, who knows?

Some more painting in progress.

Starting to move on this piece. A friend suggested that I add some barbarians to the piece. I'm still undecided on this.
