On a recent Oz TV news show the anchor crossed to the financial analyst. As is usually the case you can see people in the office behind the person being interviewed.

The worker at his computer in the background is not using his computer for its intended purpose and is looking at pictures of a non financial nature.

Please note due to the distance details can not be seen and I hope this post is not considered offensive as I am only posting it as it is a classic funny blooper which has so far got 1.5 million Youtube hits at

:D:D

Did he actually get the sack Brett?

Rob

It made the main newspaper here and the bank have said they are making an internal investigation. I would think they probably have grounds to sack him as most such organisations would have rules about computer usage. Made them look bad of TV.
Just watching a program where they again were looking at the computers of the staff behind the analyst from same bank and one could clearly be seen using Facebook.
The bank is famous for its high salaries so he stands to lose a lot if he does lose his job.

Its funny how he looks round at the end,as if he's suddenly remembered he's on tv,too late!

Rob

Yes Rob you can just imagine the panic in his mind as he realised.
Will be interesting to see if it makes the news overseas or into some of those blooper shows.

Brett

Latest news.
There is now an online petition to "Save Dave".
It appears that the lady who was being "analysed", Australian model Miranda Kerr, is planning to sign the petition.

Good for her. It is alway nice to show appreciation to your fans.:D

I just read on the BBC he is not going to lose his job.

Rob

Hi Rob,
In that case he is lucky. Could also come under the category of bringing the business into disrepute.

Brett

Are you guys sure that he wasn't ...reading this forum?:D:D:D:D

Paulo

Most business usually block that, not to mention that it shows a lack of common sense.

But if you look closely at the screen it appears that he is checking his email. Not that that makes it ok though.

Someone probably had just e-mailed him some photos as attachments. He may not even have known what the subject was. The poor guy opened each one for only a second or two - IMO hardly a misuse of the Bank's computers. The person who sent the photos is more guilty than the recipients (yes, they were probably sent to more than one person)

Terry,
You make a good point. I get some interesting emails from a forum mate and have to be careful when I read them as my computer screen faces my sales counter and my wife works in the shop. Not complaining Wayne so keep sending them !!!
