I believe a short while back when asked about revisiting a Vietnam series Andy replied "never say never". I for one would be all over it, anyone elses thoughts?
Remember he said no more Russians and no more WW2 Marines. Seems like the current Marines are extremely popular, I even bought some and intend to buy more.

Hi Gary,
Very happy to hear you like the new K&C Marines...I'm delighted to say you're not alone! The response at the Chicago Show was really encouraging and enthusiastic.
As for 'Vietnam'... I've never lost my interest in that war...it's my generation and over the years I've met a number of Vietnam vets and been fortunate to visit Vietnam and see some of the most famous sights and places of the war.
So, you never know...
All the best and happy collecting, Andy.

I’m already in to K&C Vietnam so you know I’d love it!

,

Thanks Louis...Great to see your 'Vietnam Firebase' once more...
One of the very first Diorama pieces K&C produced!
Best wishes,Andy.

Thanks Andy! :smile2: I still have every one of the K&C dioramas and wood and papier mache buildings I had managed to acquire over the years, and love to post photos of them, they are classics.^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool^&cool

Of course, the new FX Channel Mini-Series led by Michael Mann based on the book Hue by Mark Bowden could be an inspiration... an excellent read!

Amazing...Saigon fell April 30, 1975. That was 42 years ago!

There didn't seem to much interest in this war back in 2004 when I started collecting.

However, there is a lot more interest now.

Back then WWII collecting was gaining momentum among collectors.

Yeah, it's time now.

count me in.......i have the First Legion Nam figures, but I only went down that path because K&C didn't have an offering.
I'm generally a K&C guy.....

Hi Andrew,
Seek...And ye may find!
All the best and happy collecting!
Andy.

Hi Andy,
Could we please have some figures for French Indochine? I have three FFL Club figures that need some vc.
Benjamin

I'd like to see too French at DBP, after all one of the first Club Figures was a french para legionnaire..and another similar is the hachette figure (nearly identical) made for the Legionnaires series. Also i like the indochinese Para for Del Prado and the 173rd Airborne figure. A little gem taken by an illustration of Ronald Volstad, you must see it in person to appreciate the particular of the wet trousers. If i'd choose after the first ideal batch of figures (marines at hue, vietcong, regular nva) i'd go for the ARVN. I like their style even if they were not so loved by the ordinary u.s. soldier i believe.

Maybe I'm bias but this talk of doing Vietnam and Dien Bien Phu is I think jumping the gun. When most people think of the war in Vietnam they think of the United States, NVA & VietCong, not the early French involvement. I know I would not buy any French but I would buy all the US figures. Again just my thoughts.

The ironic part is there were FFL at Dien Bien Phu, a lot of them were former WWII German veterans..............have read accounts that NCO's were shouting out orders in German...............so, there were Germans there too as an FYI...................
