Well it happened ...:(

I have caved and in the middle of the night last night - I became another Crimean War Victim !

It was only a matter of time as the ground under my feet gave way and the easy application of transfering funds to Treefrog for midnight shopping sprees - created the CRAZY ACTION OF STARTING ANOTHER K&C RANGE !

Ahhhhhhhh !

So - Our friendly UPS man is now rushing to me CRW 003 - Flagbearer - the begining of an entire Range that must be collected.

ALL IS LOST :D

Don't worry Ron...if it makes you feel any better I figure I am about 36 hours away from the same fate.

I was sunk the day they made the announcement!;)

Believe me Ron, you won't be disappointed. As much as I love my Naps, this line is just incredible! I am very excited about the additional Cavalry releases that are coming out at the end of this month. They look just awesome.

I can only imagine how good the Charge is going look as it evolves over the coming months and years.

Ron,

Ha!....well you won't regret it. I too have been collecting the Napoleonics since they first came out and wasn't going to collect another horse and musket period......but I now have all but one of the first release and a couple of the second with the intention of getting all the TRL.
These are imho the best figures I have ever collected :)

Yo Troopers like to make a comment, if you dont mind me stepping into the KC forum. Rob saying how good the Charge is going to look, man its going to cost an arm and a leg, at £60.00 a throw for a mounted Trooper, and I can only see a 17th Lancer what about the rest of the Brigade, I can see me there (Cardigan lol) and though I will admit even though they are not my style of soldiers they are very good. BUT having the whole Brigade if it gets that far on plates is not going to look good in my book. Dont forget there where 12 regiments in this battle Balaklava not counting the Russians so if you are planning a Diorama its going to be big and costly. Ok guys sorry for stepping out of the Britains room into your patch, but it is my pet subject, so I am ready to take the flak, just sharpened my sabre lol.
Bernard.

Well Cardigan - I guess you have to scale down what the size of your brigade will be

I have always believed in action dioramas - I am not a rivet counter or perfect Brigade counter colllector. I think you can buy several figures and produce a great battle scene without breaking your own bank.

IMHO :D

Yo Trooper, Nah having none of that lol, making your own rules its the Brigade or nothing, imagine me telling my son about the Light Brigade Charge, and he says but Dad where are the Irish 8th Hussars, Ah well son left them out because they never made them, so you will have to pretend that they are there "WHAT", well its like WWII son there wern't any Germans there. He will tell his mates my Dad's elevator doesn't go all the way to the top floor lol.
Bernard.

I think these figures are superb. They are out of my price range but hats off to the guys that can afford them.Makes me want to see Errol Flynn charging them Russkies again.

This is going to be a big chuck out of my K&C budget to do this range - Thats why I started with the Flagbearer. I am interested in seeing how these guys really look.

I do want to support Tony and K&C UK guys - this is a big project and I know with any venture it costs $$$$$$ to get done.

Space is also big concern for me. How many Curio Cabinets can you put in a house ? Right now I have 4 at home and 1 in the office. :D

Trust me, you won't regret getting into this range.
Trying to upload a few more photo's but having problems with the signal dropping out. Maybe later today, we'll see.

Cheers

Ron If it cost $$$$$$ it would not be so bad. Unfortunatley it costs £££££.

Must've caught a window when the signal was okay and managed a quick upload. Don't think I've posted these ones on my diorama thread before.
The photo's have had The Heid special effects applied, so I want to see how they look when posted anyway.
Hope you guys enjoy them and that they illustrate what a great range this really is.

I have a few additional figures on order, and the groudwork needs to be a bit more brown/biege coloured. So the entire dio is earmarked to be re-done when the additional figures come through to China in a few months time.

Cheers

Yo Trooper H, really excellent Diorama, I can can see the amount of work thats gone into it, but as Damian and Ron point out its gonna be one expensive thing to do. Just looking and you have six 17th Lancers and Lord Cardigan, without postage etc I make that something like $827.00, so if you could come back and let us know what this small part of the Charge cost you to set up. Space wise if you are keeping it at this size as the guys say how many cabinets can you fit in, it would have looked a lot better if you had a mounted of each regiment that took part instead of six from one regiment, then it would show the charge a lot better when all five regiments are represented, and that way you could keep the space and cost down. Not knocking it H its really good mate

Sterling is as strong as those russian guns:eek: The greenback on the other hand is doing us overseas collector's a lot of favours :D

Really impressive photos H, especially like the sepia effect ones, very dramatic :)

Hi Guys

Some interesting points here guys.

Re the charge and the other regiments...........not that we are ignoring them!! Myself and Andy decided to take a snap shot of the charge and decided on the point where the guns had been breached.

We then looked into the details of this and the 17th were the first there! hence doing the 17th AT THE MOMENT!!

As the snap shot pans back there will be more and more added. However we feel that there is still plenty of action around the guns to do.

Nobody will be ignoring who was or wasn't there!

Each time we do a battle there will be what is an obvious representation of the battle first before the bulk will or can be added.

Plus also K&C UK's purse strings dictate how many sets we do and when!

regards

Tony
