How Andy has made me POOR and why I want MORE... (2 Viewers)

Brad

So in reality we have 14 ranges going active at this time? - WOW

Thats alot.

Ron

That certainly is a lot of different ranges. All joking aside i suppose its best to stick to as few as possible to ensure a more complete collection.I wonder though how many people out there are more than happy to buy just a few different set from many different ranges.I'm afraid i'm probably far to much of a completist to allow that.It also helps i suppose if you are going to collect a new range you start at the beggining like the forthcoming 'Charge'.

Rob

Stick to as few lines as possible. Anything else leads to madness, bankruptcy and severe tellings off from the wife.

I refuse to budge from WW2 though really that's several lines in one!

Morning Rob & Eazy.

What you two need to do is introduce your wives to the SOHK range. That's what I did and so my darling wife can't complain when I buy more Napoleonics or go to the London show as I add a set in for her.

The SOHK have got to be the most detailed range paint wise ever! If you haven't taken a close look at them yet, you should do.

One down side on this....it dips into your funding....but better than severe tellings off.

Morning Jeff, thats an idea.I never really looked at that range, but i like the newly released stuff.Would be great to have my darling wife collect too, what an excuse!

Rob

Nope my wife would see them as just more clutter! She already cannot bear to look in my room with model tanks of all shapes and sizes all over the place. :(

The only thing that saves me is that she has no idea how much they cost. It wouldn't enter her head that they could possibly cost what they do!

Thats the strange thing. My darling wife knows excactly what they cost and is ok with it.Its when i talk about adding other ranges than WW2 She gets upset.Thinks i should stick to one...she's probably right too!.

Rob

ANDY - Look at what you have done to our lives.......................

Yeah, both enriched us and driven us to poverty at the same time!

Rob

Gentlemen

Fortunately for me my girl has become a co-conspirator in the hobby. She just bought me a huge Curio Cabinet for my Office !! :D

Ron

Marry her at once Ron,and if your already married marry her again!!

Rob

Nope - Not married yet - that will be in August.

But, any Woman who buys her Man a Curio Cabinet for his Toy Soldiers - she is a keeper. :D

Congratulations hope you have a great day in August.

Rob

I hide my credit card statements

I told my girl about our conversation and she said that I should inform all you that when I buy her Designer Handbags - that works the best. ;)

FYI Boys :D

Congratulations, but if you honeymoon at my house, and your new bride see's what this collecting can lead to, you may have a very short marriage!

Good Point Louis !

Scratch Louis' House from the list - better make that visit a private affiar. :D

I got married in August, some 18 years ago when I was collecting glossy figures and we went on Honeymoon down to Wiltshire (West Country of England) and stayed in 16th Century Coach House. Just down the road there was Dorset Soldiers! my poor wife got dragged around their premises for over 2 hours (LOL), she still brings that up today!
