I stay away from the K&C Warbirds mostly because if I bought any and the wife found out it would probably be grounds for divorce.

However, I am curious, did K&C ever make an A-10 Thunderbolt/Warthog Warbird?

Don't think they made a A-10

I'm certainly not amongst the most knowledgeable in the forum about this, but I'm pretty sure they never did one, and certain none was made in the connoisseur range.

Thanks for the replies. I thought I would check. I know that they did a few modern aircraft but was unsure on the A-10.

In post WW II in the old style they've done, among others:

B 52
Lockheed F 104 Starfighter
F 117 Stealth
F 16 Falcon
F 86 Sabre
Grumman Tracker
Hawker Hunter
Huey
M 124 Hind Gunship
Sea Venom

New style:

F 86 Sabre
Gloster Meteor

A Hind? Now that has to be something to see!

Brad, what scale was the B-52 in? I can't imagine it was as large as 1/32. It wouldn't even fit through a door in that scale. Think the Avro Lancaster or B-17 are large in 1/32, the B-52 is over twice as long as either of them and the wingspan more than 80 ft wider than either of them. The B-52 is huge. -- Al

I would love to see the B-52 also!

Side note, the B-52 is my favorite bomber ever, when I was a kid and we would go to airshows I was always in awe of them.

I'm not sure of the scale. It's possible it was made in 1/48 since some of the post WW II planes were made in that scale.

The Buff is a beast! Hard to find a more important aircraft in Air Force history. It's been in service for near to 60 years and it will be around for years yet. If you want a target leveled, send in the Buffs. ^&cool -- Al

60 years? Amazing.

Just discussing it on the Forum brings back so many memories of seeing them up close.

Now I really want to see the K&C version.

I have a very excellent Corgi B-52 in 1/144 scale. It is a SAC version that flew in Vietnam and is in typical period camo over black. Even in this small scale it is larger than any other airplane that I own (over 2 dozen fighters in 1/30 scale). Corgi made several versions but I am unsure of current availability. -- Al

Do you have a link Brad ?

Neil,

It's not on the website but I recently asked Elsa Li (when I renewed my club membership) what was coming out and she mentioned the Gloster as being available. However, it's $1,400 (exclusive of shipping). A great looking plane but not one I can afford.
