3 new club figers ,the lancer officer looks cool .I,ll try and work out how to add photos from the email

I have not been able to find out much about the Bengal Lancers except that they were part of the Indian British Army from about 1870's to the early 1900's.

Does anyone know if they took part in any of the battles of that time, such as in the Sikh or Afghan Wars?

Carlos, the cossack is WW2. Some of the Cossacks fought for the Germans.

Even though he's axis rather than red army. One of my favourite figures in the del prado/K&C range is the Kuban Cossack. Great to see a version done by K&C.


The backstory to the cossacks in WWII is fascinating and tragic, particularly the surrendered axis cossacks forced removal from UK/US custody to red army custody under the Yalta agreement.

The handing back of the cossacks was an event that ought to have made the 2 western individuals in the Yalta agreement hang their heads in shame.

In the East front more than 1 million undesirable people fought with the Wehrmacht, among then was the Turkmens, Azeris, Armenians, Tartares, Kamouks. Others fought with the WSS like the Ukrainians, the Hiwis (Hilfs Willigen).

Theses foreigners were more acceptable because Hitler considered then not as Slavic but warriors from the Caucasus.
