Does anyone have an opinion regarding Which British Chevy hauler they would consider? The K&C vehicles look real nice, but the photo's of the pending Figarti version and its detail just blows me away. Any opinions because I'm ready to listen.

You can't lose either way. Both are fantastic vehicles. The sculpting on both is exceptional, and both have excellent paint jobs, but done in different styles. The K&C looks brighter, and although battle-worn, shows up nicely on a diorama, while the Figarti has a much duller, sand-blasted, two months in the desert finish. I think its a matter of taste on the vehicles, I'd call it a draw. The figures still favor K&C over Figarti though. K&C's figures are still the best, although Figarti's are much inproved.

Louis:

Are the figures & truck really 1/30? or are they smaller compared to KC. Can you put KC & Figarti trucks side by side and see no discrpancy in terms of size(The color is non-issue since most vehicles fought, maintained and used differently in the field of battle)?

Thanks

The only difference is whether you want a cleaner look (K & C) or a more weathered look (Figarti).

If it matters, Figarti's LRDG comes with real rubber tires w/ the correct tread pattern, and some of the supplies are loose so the collector can place them in the manner they like. In addition, one of the Figarti sets have figures in attack poses.:)

Steven:

I am looking at the truck (B38033). Are the driver, and the soldier in the rear in a relaxed posed, glued in place?

From the pictures both trucks look great. My question is could they work together or would the difference in styles be too much?

I was actually thinking about doing a diorama where the K&C Chevy's are the relief patrol, and the Figarti Chevy's are the patrol coming in from a month or two behind enemy lines. That would play to the strength of the style of paint job of both vehicles.

I,m realy looking forward to the release of figartis Lrdg,s
I have both K and C,s ones and like them both .
I know this is probably sacrilege but I was thinking about removing the
K and C crew and sticking them in Figartis trucks.
But I,ll wait until I see how figartis figures look mixed in with K and C
before I do that.

Funnily enough Louis, I was thinking something along the same lines. Very much looking forward to obtaining Figarti's Chevy's.
In response to Vandily, I display K&C with Figarti and don't see why not, despite the pedantics in our midst. So go right ahead and put the K&C figures in the Figarti vehicles - its whatever flicks your switch (and your collection, no-one elses). :):)

Hi Harry
I,ve got figarti,s earlier tiger displayed with K and C and its all
hunky doorie to me . But for me K and C,s matte figures still lead the
way so I had the vague idea of combining the best of the 2.
Figartis vehicles are the buisness ,but the figures are not quite
their yet [having said that I havent seen the latest from them]
If only I could convince the better half we realy need a b17 in
the front entrance.:)
cheers Rob

Hmmm, diorama standoff at high noon. May the best man win - though we shall all win if you post the pics. :D

Yup, K&C rules in the figure stakes - and I'm just winding myself up to respond to some nonsense in another thread regarding the same. However, I don't have any Figarti vehicles as yet, but I've heard nothing but good about them, so I'm really looking forward to these new 1/30 Chevy's. Its as Louis suggests and I also have been thinking of, the Figarti items have been scouting the desert for a while and are coming back to base and the K&C Chevy's are their relief - practically straight off the boat in Alexandria.

I do have a couple of Figarti P40B's and I think the pilot figures for these are pretty good although their Chinese figures leave something to be desired. I hope that future Figarti figure releases exhibit the same improvement that we see in photos of te V1 & V2 sets.

As for the B17, was that the one that was recently spotted on the moon with the ghosts of Elvis and Hitler in residence?? :D:D:D

I,ve got to admit I did read the giant heads thread ,
things like that always remind me of my older brothers
baiting me when I was a kid [sitting back with thier imaginery fishing rods
more often than not they caught an angry younger brother :D].

cheers Rob

I will be interested to see if the Figarti vehicles are not bigger as the figs on the K&C are smallish and so I think the LRDG vehicles from K&C might be a bit undersized.

Yeah, there are actually people just like the older brothers on this forum. Pathetic isn't it..?? (Actually, I'm not above casting out a few lines myself).
