Dispatches:Place your bets!! (1 Viewer)

I'm wondering what that is supposed to mean.

Millions are stuck waiting for trains on their only holiday - Chinese New Year? - some haven't seen their family for three years and are a little upset (English understatement).

too slow in typing!

It's a little quieter in HK than the mainland. Several years ago I took the train out of Shanghai station and it was not a sight to be believed. Reminded me of a scene out of Oliver Twist. I can only imagine what it is today.

Not until at least Monday. With the New Year upon us, who knows when?

Just had a thought(sound of pennys dropping inside my head)as the Churchill Tank has recently been retired from active duty, might we see a Desert painted version?

Rob

You mean like this...Alex painted this one for me...Michael

This Chinese New Year is a complete pain. Quite apart from the fact that finding a taxi in this town is practically impossible at the moment, its going to be at least Monday before I can drool over the new EA and Early Pacific War figures and vehicles.....Grrrrr.....

Actually, its really The Spring Festival, but any kind of New Year is okay by any kind of Scotsman....:p:p:p;)

Cheers

Almost forgot, please, please, make one of the new EA vehicles a Crusader so that I can put it into my latest desert diorama instead of the FOV Matilda that presently included in there. (Or an ambulance, or a bren-gun carrier, or......)

Cheers

Yeah, there's been quite a few weather-related fatalities reported on the local news channels here in China. Pretty sad at the worst of times, but especially at this time of year for the people who aree trying to get home to be with their families.
On a happier note, Dalian seems to be avoiding the worst of the weather, although its pretty cold at night. Believe it or not, we're able to buy fresh strawberry's at the fruit market that's just outside our front door - yes, fresh strawberry's..?? Don't ask, for I do not know..!!
Its only around 4 days to go before the moon is in the correct position....or whatever decides when the Chinese New Year kicks off, but there's already been some spectacular fireworks displays, which I've had a grandstand view of from the window of my cave. Looking forward to the next few days.
PS. No-one's bitten on my reference to Early Pacific War figures in my previous post - darn. I do live in hope though. Really looking for an EA Crusader in this months dispatches. Fingers crossed.

There's Frenchmen soon to make the scene and they're not Nappies and a return to the Desert and they're not Camels along with another piece of steel.....The Lt.
