Starting a New Thread

From the main page click through to the category (broad subject area) that best fits your topic. If the category has sub-forums (more specific subject areas) choose the one that fits your topic best.

Click the green ‘+Post New Thread’ button on the left hand side of the page (located both at the top and the bottom) to access the ‘Post New Thread’ screen.

Enter a subject in the ‘Title’ box. (The more specific the better, for instance ‘Can anyone identify this vintage rifleman?’ rather than ‘Help’)

Type your message in the text box. You may insert smileys in your message by choosing from the options to the right of the text box.

(Optional) You may also choose an icon or smiley for your thread in the ‘Post Icon’ box below the text box. This icon is seen in front of the thread title.

(Optional) You may tag your thread by adding words or phrases that help describe the content into the tag box.

Click the green ‘Preview Post’ button at the bottom right hand of your message to preview your message and make sure it looks exactly as you want it.

If you need to make changes, simply scroll down to the ‘Your Message’ box and make your corrections.

You can check it again using the ‘Preview Post’ button or if you are satisfied click ‘Submit New Thread.’

Your new thread will be added to other members’ thread lists for ‘What’s New?’ and ‘New Posts’ but will not be included in yours, since you are the author of the thread.
