Using a bastard file / rasp, roughen up all the edges of the foam.
The sections of walls, having had the stonework 'design' pressed in to them. Once the foam has been pressed in, it retains this shape.
Once happy with the general shape of the wall, use a ball point pen or pencil (or similar), to mark out a rough stonework pattern on the wall. Brickwo
Use the rasp to add shape to the wall, the rounded side is useful for this.

Some basic shaping to replicate some damage to the wall section, using a knife. Doesn't need to be very precise.
Trimmed the thickness down a bit to suit
Starting off with a couple of lengths of inch thick foam. Piece of cake.
