I use a paintbrush and lightly almost drybrush the grey on so the black in the lines shows up. If you airbrush then you will cover the lines. The windows were done with clear plastic cut to a window shape and then I made my own decals for the stain window effect.
Hey Alex! I'm having to redo my church and I've got some questions, what should I paint it with (like should I paint it in black and then airbrush it with stone grey, how do I keep the dark lines of the bricks?), and then what do I do to create the windows?

Its not Photoshop but some freeware called Vicman's photo editor or something like that. I will have to confirm when I get home but basically you can do it with any photo editor. Just pick a color like white or light grey and scaled down your opacity.
Alex, concerning the photo of Bob's (UKREB), that you retouched with smoke effects through photoshop.
What version of photoshop did you use please?

Do not use spray paint because it will melt the foam. Use acrylic paints like from the hobby shops like Hobby Lobby or Michaels.

I'm working on my church, and I did a few paints on a few scrap pieces of foam, but the spray paint seems to be compressing the foam? I was wondering if I should use spray paint or regular paint?
